THIS 1978 RENAULT 17 GORDINI WAS OWNED BY A DEALER WHO KEPT IT FOR FUN TOURING. THE CAR WAS PARKED IN 1986 AND SAT IN THE CALIFORNIA SUN UNTIL I BROUGHT IT TO MICHIGAN IN 2007. I STRIPPED THE BODY. HAD IT MEDIA BLASTED AND REPAINTED IN IT 'S ORIGINAL COLOR BLUE ARDOISE METALLIC. THE CAR IS SOLD AS A ROCK NO RUST WHATSOEVER!! FENDER AND INNERWHEEL WELL JOINTS ETC.  ARE ALL CAULKED. ALL HOLLOW SPACES INCLUDING THE CHASIS ARE PROTECTED WITH WAXOIL RUSTPROOF.

THE INTERIOR SEATS ARE RE- UPHOLSTERED. THE DECOUVRABLE ROOF WAS TAKEN OUT AND MOTORS CLEANED SERVICED ETC. NEW HEADLINER.

NEW BRAKES. UEL PUMP. GAS TANK CLEANED AND SEALED NEW TIRES. SUSPENSION ETC ALL IN GREAT CONDITION.

THIS 17 HAS POWERSTEERING AND AIRCONDITIONING. THE AIR NEEDS SERVICE/ CHARGING 

 THE 1647CC BOSCH FUEL INJECTED HEMI STARTS RIGHT UP. AND RUNS GOOD. THE CAR NEEDS TO BE DRIVEN. IT HAS ONLY 46K ON IT! THE ENGINE WAS NOT TAKEN APART BUT HAS NEW BELTS. BATTERY. ETC.  RADIATOR WAS CLEANED. nbsp;REPAINTED. ETC. nbsp;ENGINE COMPARTMENT IS CLEAN. MANY PARTS TAKEN OFF AND RESTORED.    

THE MAIN SEAL IS LEAKING OIL. I HAVE A NEW ONE WITH THE CAR AS WELL AS A CLUTCH KIT. THE CLUTCH IS FINE. BUT AS THEY SAY; WHILE YOU ARE IN THERE.

THE TURN SIGNALS DO NOT WORK. THERE ARE A FEW LITTLE PAINTCHIPS/ SMALL DENTS FROM STORAGE.

THIS IS ONE OF THE FEW NICE ONES LEFT AND  CAN BE PERFECT WITH A LITTLE TLC.   

THIS 17 IS OFFERED FOR SALE THROUGH DIFFERENT CHANNELS. AND I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THIS LISTING EARLY.
