Up for auction is one of my very best cars! This car has just spent 9 months in the shop being professionally rebuilt. Everything works on this car and it is almost a Museum quality vehicle. It is exceptionally clean both in exterior and interior and the engine is nearly brand new. For those who are somewhat purists. this car is all Mopar! No Chevy 350 dropped in as an aferthought! It is 90% its original self with an all steel body and fenders. original dash. stering wheel and gauges. The modern modifications were difficult and time consuming to perform. The car now has a rebuilt 360 V-8. The engine has an entirely rebuilt top end with 'J' heads with stainless steel valves. hardened seats and double valve springs. It has modest Cam in it and can easily use a more aggressive cam due to valve clearance and springs. The original suspension has been modifed with a rack and pinion set-up so though it does not have true 'power steering' it drives and handles as if it did. Car retains its original hydraulic brake system which works perfectly. There is a 3-speed OD trans in it now which allows the car to drive at modern speeds and has the power for any weekend roadtrips or cross country jaunts that the new owner may want to use it for.

The gauges and interior are all as done in 1934. No Acura or Honda interior here! This car can be shown at any car show as a perfect example of the Art Deco period in American Automobiles! The gorgeous gauge faces and dash are perfect and lovely! The interior is finished in a high grade saddle tan vinyl and every part of the interior is perfect. This car still retains its bifurcated side windows. which was a one year only feature for the PE Plymouths and a lot of these cars I have seen for sale have had these replaced. The front windshield does crank out as originally designed. When ordered new the original owner had ordered the DeLuxe XX chrome package which is still with this car. This means every window on the car has a beautiful. flawless chrome trim frame. Chrome lights and horns. chrome dash top as well! Black lacquer dash with fine pinstripe Art Deco style and ornate Plymouth glove box door emblem. Only flaw I can find in the interior is a replaced window crank top which doesn't match the other door and windshield crank. The Amp gauge wasn't converted to volts so it doesnt read anything though multiple checks of the system shows the charge and alternator work perfectly. The water temp always reads high though the car runs at a consistent 160-180 degrees with brand new high-flow electric fan. The speedometer works fine but the needle bumps as it needs the proper gear now for the 360 engine thats been put in it. thats about a $60 job to correct.

The exterior is an older paint but still looks very good. The Car is painted in period Lacquer which was recently buffed and so the car is painted in the manner these cars were originally! Working on this car means we could see every hidden nook and cranny and it appears this car has always been this color. Presidential Red. The original Artillery wheels are present along with a spare on the back. This coupe is not a rumble seat coupe which is a good thing in my mind! It actually has a huge trunk that can be used to hold your luggage for road trips to shows or vacations. Only flaw on the exterior is the twin chrome Klaxon horns which seem to take power but will not sound. These can be rebuilt by a number of people who specialize in this. The fog lights are also not hooked up at this time.

Mechanically the car is a reliable driver for any distance. It is really a beautiful and stunning car in person and every comment about the car reflects this. While not THE rarest coupe out there. there were only about 12. 00 of these built in 1934. I built it to maintain its stock appearance while infusing it with some modern power and drivability. It is literally a hot rod that looks like a parade/museum car!

Only suggestion I would give to the new owner. if your going to stomp on the gas. watch the front end as it will come off the ground! If you are going to run this car harder than normal driving. nbsp;I'd give it a stiffer rear and bigger gears to handle the power better.

Rear bumper got damaged this last weekend. Someone backed up and caught the left rear bumper guard while it was parked at a local car show. The rear bumper is not cracked but probably very fixable. Bracket itself did not separate or get damaged other then slightly bent. Overall minimal damage and the body and fender did not get touched. And no. No one left insurance or even a note!

Slight price drop now to account for the new damage and the price drop is much more than the cost of a replacement bumper. Just trying to be way more than fair as a new bumper wouldn't cost more than $200-$300.

Ok folks. the reserve is off this car! I know I'm going to take a huge bath on this car as it well below what I paid for it and what I've paid to have it upgraded in power and handling. This is one gorgeous car with the power and handling to match. It's a steal and I'll be licking my wounds from selling it so cheap but I have two project cars in the works that need to be paid for. So I've decided to lift the reserve and sell it for whatever it bids up to. So please do bid to own because it goes to the highest bidder now!
