1970 Chevrolet Camaro

1970 Camaro SS with RS option. Originally a vinyl top. WAS an automatic console equipped car. build sheet shows this. Clear Colorado Title. Late model roller block 350 CID. It is essentially a ZZ4 short block with TFS G2 heads and a RPM Q-jetintake and a built Q-jet carb. I tried to build the best engine I could afford. It has new everything. From road race oil pan. crank. rods. pistons. Nothing inside is used. I built this to do SCCA sollo II. Heads are Trick Flow G2 twisted wedge heads. These heads were new never run when I bought them. Comp cams Ultra Comp rockers (1. 6 ratio). With these rockers the cam is approx a 500 int/540ex lift cam with 208/221 duration.
   Transmission is a rebuilt T5 5speed WC from an 1988 Camaro with safety bell housing. Rear is the original 12 bolt with 3. 08 gears. It needs a rebuild and a POSI. That was my next project.    Have Build sheet that was found under the console. A/C removed and firewall cover installed. Power brakes removed and manual brakes installed. They work very well. 12" 1LE rotors up front. SPC adjustable upper/lower arms. Delrin bushings and Eibach springs with tokico shocks all around.  Hotchkiss leafs in back. WS6 sway bars. 1 1/4 front and 3/4 rear. It corners very flat. 16x8 GTA rims with 245/50-16 tires.
Interior recently done. New headliner. carpet. race seats. I covered some of the parts with carbon fiber wrap. Pillars. door sills. rear shelf aluminum gauge bezel covered in carbon fiber wrap. Homemade door panels with white carbon wrap but have new original type door panels. New weather stripping around the doors. Dash is the original but it is curling up so have a dash cover on it. No cracks though. The metal part of the dash has a speaker cover installed. original speaker slots were damaged years ago. Like that when I bought it. this is a solid car. Since it is bare metal you can see the repairs that were done in 2007. Repairs include both front fenders behind tire. behind rear wheel wells No rust on the floors or trunk. Only hole I have seen is just in front of the passenger rear tire. Dime size. All metal around it feels solid. This is really what you get. This camaro can't hide anything. All body panels are original except for the hood. front nose and bumpers (all fiberglass) and rear spoiler. Have original bumpers. All glass is original except for the front windshield.  
 
I am the second owner. Have owned since 1992. Bought from an older couple in 29 Palms. originally bought in Palm Springs and was built in Van Nuys. I drive it regularly and it is dependable and a blast to drive. It routinely finishes mid pack at my solo II meets regularly beating Miata's. S-2000's. Porsches and the like. It is a stiff ride but gets the job done. It just needs a new home and owner who can really finish her up.    She is an outstanding starting point for a restomod.     Paypal deposit  within 24 hours of auction end(non refundable. make sure you want what you are bidding on!).
