1966 lincoln continental convertible custom

The story:

This car was built for a nfl player in 2003. it was shipped all over the usa with no expenses spared for the build where they spent 80k in 2003. that was a heap of $$$ then .

It was then sold to a production company in florida for rap videos. see links below for videos and some more info.

About the car:

When I bought the car it had been used and abused. electrics didn't work. paint was down. rust in the ¼ panels. air ride didn't work. etc etc.

I have now gone through this car top to bottom.

I repainted the car black and green. had 2 dog legs hand formed and welded in

Rewired nearly the entire car. everything works as it should.

I removed the engine and found it to be virtually brand new. so I repainted added a decent cooling system to keep the big girl cool.

I tidied up the engine bay filling over 100 holes in the process and smoothed and applied satin black paint.

I rebuilt the entire brake system including. new calipers. booster. wheel cylinders. mastercyl. prop valves. brake pipes etc

Rebuilt all the suspension including all balljoints. bushes. tie rod ends. new shocks. new airbags . compressors and top of the range controller.

Repainted the underside. fitted new headers and 3 inch exhaust system.

Brand new fuel system . fuel pump. regulator etc.

I went through everything. nothing was left untouched.

K plus.

B&m c6 auto trans. 2800 stall

4 link with 2 piece tailshaft

4 corner controlled air ride

24 inch rear and 22 inch front wheels

The bad:

The interior is down. door trims are great. but the ostrich has dried out on the seats and the carpet is looking a bit old. everything inside works except the central locking.

In summary:

The car is ready to drive away and drives great with plenty of power and super comfy ride. she needs some retrimming inside and I guess theres probably a couple of odd jobs here and there. but shes a great car that u can just jump in and drive. I drove all summer on a trade plate and never let me down once. I was going to redo the seats and put up for sale. but I think I will let the new owner add there touch. I am selling reluctantly. but really enjoy doing the build and that's pretty much over . so its time to play with something else.

Ive never had it registered . but I have the import docs. other than maybe some issues with rego with the airbags depending what state your in. this car should be simple to rego
