No more time wasters please. in the last listing for this I had no less than FOUR people phone me and say they were "definitely" buying it. Why say that. then disappear??

Hello and welcome to our listing for a 1955 Chevrolet 3100 short wheelbase stepside pickup. This is a full project. no engine or gearbox. a blank canvas to do what you want with it. Pretty solid. will need work in some of the usual places. cab rear lower corners. driver door bottom. front wing trailing edge. and as usual most of the glass is shot. Original seat is there. but needs re-covered. All parts for these trucks are readily available at good prices due to the amount of them made and still in use. The aftermarket for custom parts is also thriving so you can do what you like with it. These are very simple to work on. very basic and make great "first" projects. It is MOT exempt. all duties have been paid and it is now UK registered as 403 YUS. I am also including free UK wide delivery on it. but NO OFFERS and NO PART-EX. and NO SWAP.

The last picture shows a '57 Chevy truck which I have just finished restoring. I am posting the pic as it shows what can be done as it was in the same condition as the '55 offered here when I imported it. I have just sold it for £18500. Just to give a bit of inspiration and illustrate that these trucks are worth spending the money on.

Although we are based in Central Scotland. please do not let this be an issue for you as I pride myself on my descriptions and must add that on my other accounts and via magazines. I have never ever failed to sell a car to the first person who travels to see it! If you know what you are looking for. and do decide to come and see. I can assure you the car will be as described here. There is no point in me telling lies about a car. as. quite simply. when you come and see it. you will not buy it if it's not as described. so. a big waste of time for me and a waste of time and money for you. I have no wish to deceive any potential buyer. I've been on the receiving end of that in the past. travelling many hundreds of miles to see something very much different from what was described to me. I aim to change that as a business seller. I'd rather gain a new friend and not sell you a car than sell you something and make a new enemy!! I am an enthusiast first and business man second.

If you want to come and look. I can pick you up at Edinburgh Airport. or Linlithgow or Falkirk rail stations and return you after your visit. I can arrange delivery for you at your cost. London area is about £360 incl VAT as an example.

Sorry to do this folks. but I must add a note here for people who may not think some things through properly. I cannot and will not take a swap on anything. To explain. you want to swap me something. therefore yours is available for sale here in the UK. Why would I go to the bother of buying a vehicle unseen in the USA. take the chance that the seller may rip me off. spend money shipping it. unload the container. pay all the duties. VAT. etc. then simply swap it for something I could have bought here without going to all that bother. not to mention my money being tied up for at least three months awaiting the arrival. This is a business. you go to work to earn your wages so you can eat. etc. I sell imports to do the same. Swaps do not put food on the table. I hope all reading understand where I'm coming from with this. I keep my prices tight so can't pay over the odds for a trade in either. remember I'm the dealer. I can't drop my price to break even then pay you retail for a trade in. no vehicle sales business will ever do that. it's financial suicide. If you want to give me a trade in. I will talk to you. BUT. my price is firm in that case and your trade must be of a cost that I can make something on it too. I also wont take a trade of something I can't sell. 'cause if you've been trying to sell it and can't. then I can't either. simple really. I prefer to deal on a straight sale basis. I write this as I am getting fed up with many e-mail and phone conversations. followed by sending lots of pics. etc to interested parties. only to find that after a few days of time wasting. all they really want to do is swap me for something of lower value or something they have had no luck trying to sell. Don't get me wrong. if after a few days of talks and pics. you decide my vehicle isn't for you. that's no problem. that's not time wasting (as long as you didn't tell me it was definitely for you then change your mind!). Many thanks for reading and understanding.
