1960 AUSTIN SEVEN MINI MK1.

This is an opportunity to own an early Classic MK1 Mini. Refurbished in 2009. it remains in very good condition.

It is correctly registered as an Austin A30 Seven as very early Minis were. and comes with a heater suggesting it is a Deluxe model.

Considered by enthusiasts to be the most desirable model. the car retains the 848cc engine. floor start. sliding windows. pull string door handles. and hinged rear number plate.

The "Magic Wand" type gear lever operates the four speed gearbox which has no synchromesh on 1st gear.

The car has appeared at numerous Classic Car Shows including the Launceston Steam and Vintage Rally and Tavistock Steam Fair.

It is a pleasure to drive and looks stunning with only minor imperfections.

The red paintwork is bright with a couple of small bubbles.

The engine bay is nicely detailed. The front and rear windows have new rubbers.

The chrome work is generally very good with the front bumper showing signs of pitting.

The interior is very smart and original though the door cards could be improved if required.

There are some very interesting hand written records of servicing over the years.  

In summary. this is a very collectable classic Mini which is ready to use and show or could be improved to concourse condition with a little effort.

Early Minis in this condition and originality are rarely available and highly sought after by enthusiasts.
