I purchased this car about 4 years ago from a XK dealer as a restoration project at a cost of £25. 00. 00 and as always it looked a lot better when it was all bolted together than it actually was. After stripping the car it was decided to go the whole way with the car and do a proper job.

Engine removed and was sent to Rob Beere Engineering for a full rebuild at a cost of £8. 00. 00 then new set of carbs at £2500. 00. Fully refurbished 5 speed box and fly wheel £2500. 00

Chassis fully stripped and blasted all new suspension. springs . bushes fully rebuilt rear axle and breaks  £6000. 0

Then the big decision what to do with the shell so yet again the full Monty. a brand new DHC shell was purchased £20. 00. 00 then sent for a quality paint job £4500. 00. New DHC soft top frame was found in the USA and purchased £2500. 00 I also have the original you can have either one and the other will be sold separately.

All the other parts for the car are all boxed up and will need to be refurbished.

As you can see it has been build with no expense spared and to a very high standard. I doubt there is a better car available.

I have a heritage certificate for the car but unfortunately I do not have the V5 as this was misplaced by the previous owner.

I have discussed this with the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club DVLA and Vehicle registration club specialist and he informs me that with there help there will be no problems in obtaining the correct documentation for the car once it is completed and has an MOT. ( I will pass on all this information to the winning bidder).
