Heres a car that you don't see every day. a 1961 Ford Falcon Sedan Delivery. Less than 2000 of these were made in 1961 and with Body Code 78A this is the8 real deal Sedan Delivery. very rare car. As the story goes in the mid 60's Pete Brock (American Pete Brock) built a 1963 delivery GT350 for Carroll Shelby to use as a parts delivery van. This car is still on display at the Shelby American Museum. This car we have here was built in the early 1970's by a gentleman as a tribute to the Shelby car. It's painted in Wimbledon white with blue stripes and carries the Shelby theme from bumper to bumper. Genuine Shelby bullet mirrors. side exhaust pipes. roll bar with racing harnesses. Shelby fuel cap and Magnum wheels. This car really looks the part.

 Under the bonnett is a 302 V8. 4 speed manual (toploader) with a 9 inch differential. Holley 600cfm carb. new Aluminium 4 core radiator etc. Car runs great and sounds awesome. There are several folders full of receipts and hand written notes from the previous owner explaining everything that he did to the car through the years. He kept records of absolutely everything.

Underneath the car shows solid floors. sills and frame rails. You can see that it's an older restoration but stills looks good underneath. Paint is older and shows it's age. There are several chips and some checking in the paint and lots of patina but no major damage. Nothing has been hidden on the 40 year old paint. what you see is what you get. There are receipts for new doors dated way back and some touch up painting that is obvious when you look closely at the car. I would say the paint is a 20 footer but it could be easily repainted. Original paint code is “D” Starlight Blue. beautiful colour if you wanted to take it back to original. Overall body is good and solid. has had the odd repair but is good solid driver quality.

Interior is quite nice and comfortable. First thing you notice is the Mustang bucket seats. dash is good. everything is working. wipers. horn. lights. indicators. gauges etc. The dash lights come on with the ignition so they are on all the time. no big deal but just so you know. The dash has been modified for the period “Sun” gauges and radio works. There is a rear seat that folds down flat to give maximum space in the back. When its up you could seat three children or two adults. Vintage Air Conditioning was installed in the late 90's and works well. Carpet is good and headliner is new and very nice. Overall the interior is very neat. not perfect but nice and neat.

Overall we have a very unique Ford that would make a great weekend cruiser or promotional vehicle. Something you can drive and enjoy as it is or take it to the next level. Whatever you decide to do I can guarantee that unless you go back in time to the early '60s and cruise the streets of Los Angeles you won't see another one like this!
