1969 Dodge Coronet for sale
Current customer rating: (94 votes ) based onUp for sale in my 1969 dodge Super Bee. This is a real-deal Super Bee. This car has a stock 440. with 906 heads. Chrysler HIPO exhaust manifolds. and a Carter 4 BBL carburetor that breathes through the optional Air Grabber “Ramcharger” functional hood scoops. This 440 is mated to a smooth shifting 727 3-speed automatic transmission with the gear selector on the column. The original motor was a 383 (which I do not have). This 1971 440 runs well but I think either has a lifter tick and it exhibits some blow-by. Drive it. rebuild it. or 6-pack it! As with most cars this age there are some small fluid leaks.
This car has optional power steering. 3-speed wipers. bucket seats. air grabber. and side scoops. The 8 ¾ inch open rear end with 3. 23 gearing is great for lower RPM cruising. This car also has manual brakes. black vinyl top. a bumping 2-watt AM radio. desirable tick-tock tach. and a heater/defroster; All of which are in good working order.
It appears the original dash of the car was swapped out with a dash from a Super Bee post car (coupe). The dash tag has the VIN of the coupe car (WM21H9A233647) and is registered to this VIN. The VIN (WM23H9A194205) on the fender tag and radiator support both match and is the true VIN to this hardtop car. There is no VIN on the trunk lip.
The R6 red paint is driver quality and shines well. but has the typical fine scratches/swirl marks and minor dings. There are a few small bubbles in the low quarter panels. but I put POR-15 on the inside and they haven't gotten bigger. The floor pans are rock solid and the trunk is in good shape although some one before me has made repairs. Overall the car is rust free. The stainless trim pieces are all there and are in presentable shape.
The interior has been completely redone with Legendary seats. new carpet. and the gauges were rebuilt at Redline Gauge Works. All gauges work (except the gas gauge reads low due to the reproduction sending unit).
Please ask any questions before bidding. This car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
