1940 Ford Pickup "Autorama Best Hot Rod. Suede Pavilion 2013". in addition to 13 other awards.   This truck was on the cover of the local Yellow pages.

Build Details:

 

Original frame was media blasted. repaired and boxed including an upgraded center x-member. and finally coated with POR15 for durability and longevity.

A TCI Mustang II front end kit was added along with a TCI Rear Parallel Leaf Spring Conversion

Entirely new running gear (shocks. springs. sway bars. bushings etc. ) Power steering.

9 inch Ford rear end with 3. 0 ratio

New 14 gallon gas tank

Front disk brake conversion with all new brake lines and Wilwood proportioning and residual pressure valves

Diamondback White Wall tires on steelies 15x6 front and 15x8 rear. finished with restored 1956 Oldsmobile hubcaps

The engine was built by Smeding Performance prior to their relocation to Texas. Built for a balance of durability and performance while running on standard pump gas. Dynamometer reports on engine performance are available; as built it is rated at 360 HP and 440 lbft TQ.

Edelbrock Performer intake manifold and carb

RPC valve covers and air cleaner

Tru-Trac Billet front runner system (all pulleys and AC)

Sanderson headers through dual MagnaFlow exhaust. Electric cut outs have been installed with a switch under the driver seat to allow on-the-fly open exhaust off the headers (A real crowd pleaser)

350 Turbo Transmission. Lokar shifter. Remote Transmission Cooler

All steel except for rear fenders

Hand built bed by Hank's Custom Beds. smoothed sides and tailgate. oak bed wood and stainless steel bed strips

Custom rear tail lights from 1937 ford on custom stand

Body modifications include: closed cowl vent. smoothed hood (chrome and hood latch removed. replaced with remote latch). louvered dust panels below bed. louvered rear roll pan below tail gate. matching louvered panels below seat.

Custom made dash panel for electrical components and switches for Vintage Air AC to avoid altering original dash

Autometer gauges. GPS speedometer

Ididit steering column with custom painted Lecara Mark40 Steering Wheel

Paint is TCP Global "Hot Rod Flatz" - Le Mans Blue Metallic

Matching interior paint but with a gloss finish to provide contrast
