2003 BMW 5-Series E39

2003 BMW E39 530iA with Sport Package.   Black Sapphire Metallic exterior with Grey Leather interior with Technical Graphite Trim.   VIN WBADT63483CK45302.   Extremely low 36. 89 miles.   Two Owner Car. I purchased the car last June 2016 with 27. 89 miles on it.   Original owner purchased the car new in Wisconsin. and unfortunately came down with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) shortly thereafter.   As the original owner's condition deteriorated the car sat unused in his garage.   The original owner passed away in the Spring of 2016. and his estate sold it thru a local dealer in Wisconsin to me last June.   After some immediate preventive maintenance and new tires (car still had original 13 year old Michelins on it when I bought it) the car has been my daily driver since then. accumulating 8500 miles.

Detailed Description

As soon as I purchased the car I replaced the original dry-rotted Michelin tires with new 235/45ZR-17 Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric All-Season tires and had a full cooling system maintenance done as well as an oil change.   After that I slowly over time fixed many of the normal BMW maladies common to BMW E39s as well as installed a few upgrades.   Here is a list of maintenance and upgrades done to the car during my ownership:

Replaced driver headlight assembly 

Only thing not working on the car is the driver's seat thigh support motor.   It has been inoperative since I purchased the car. and with it in a comfortable position for me I've not taken the seat out to replace it.   I have a replacement motor and will include it with the car.

Car is in beautiful condition inside & out.   It draws a crowd anytime it's around BMW enthusiasts. as the BMW E39 was judged by many to the best 5 series that BMW made. and most E39s one sees today are a worn out shadow of their former self.   It is not an understatement saying the car looks and drives like a 2-3 year old BMW CPO car and not a 14 year old car.     Motor is responsive and powerful. transmission shifts smoothly. suspension and steering is tight. drives as you expect a BMW should drive.   Car really loves both the curvy backroads as well as long speedy freeway drives.   Dual zone heat and AC works nicely. Dash is perfect and untracked. Interior leather is in great condition. carpet is clean and stain free.   ZERO rust. garage kept during it's entire life.   Paint shines with a nice gloss. some minor road rash on hood that was been touched up with Dr. Colorchip.   Fully sorted mechanically and electrically. all paint is original. no dents or dings. all window glass and rubber in excellent condition.   

Here is your opportunity to purchase the classic E39 5 series that really is a time machine back to 2003.
