There's just way too much to say about this incredibly preserved Scrambler. It's a true survivor. with very little miles off pavement - very little rust beyond surface. Ready for a full restore. or drive it as is for another 32 years!It's durable. reliable and built like a TANK. I would not hesitate for one second to drive this jeep ANYWHERE. ANY DISTANCE. ANY TIME OF YEAR.
I purchased this locally ( Colorado ) a couple years ago from a gentleman who mostly towed it behind his RV. He only really drove it around when he got to his destinations. The MAJORITY OF THE 112k MILES were accumulated while it was being towed. Howell Fuel injected. runs strong. everything is tight. no rattles. no squeaks. no grinds. WIDE-TRAC Late model axles were installed to increase stability. improve ride & handling. GARAGED All YEAR. Babied. Loved & thoroughly enjoyed. Starts first turn. every time no matter how hot or cold it is outside. All electrical is working fine ( even the interior courtesy lights ) with the exception of the horn. I believe a connection somewhere in the horn wiring is causing the failure. Laredo trim. decals & interior includes many unique OEM items that are usually lost or trashed on other jeeps.

Areas for any new owner to address:Photographs are showing SURFACE RUST ONLY everywhere with the exception of the DRIVERS floor. There are some pin holes through the metal there. the Passengers floor is surface only.
There are many scratches and scrapes that might LOOK like rust. however the paint primer is a light TAN / BROWN color and it looks a lot like rust but it's not. Please ask about any areas of concern you may have.
ONE quarter sized hole was drilled in the tub near the rear passengers wheel well for reasons unknown. One tiny rust bubble on the passengers rear quarter panel ( down under the stripe decal )Previous owner had a FULL soft top & tonneau cover. This left many tiny drill holes for SNAPS & Brackets on the bed rails & bulkhead. I used small aluminum rivets to fill each hole as I had no intention of ever using a soft top. They are painted to match.
Paint is overall in very good shape. normal scratches and dings consistent with age. However the Hood and front fenders have many tiny ( pin sized ) rock chips from being RV towed. They appear as little white specs. Some oxidation is present in the clear coat on the hood. I see a quarter sized drip of engine oil once in awhile in my garage floor. I see a dime sized drip of oil near the transfer case every once in while on the garage floorThe Master Cylinder was replaced in 2007. but I think the brake system could be better - may need a checkup / bleed / adjustmentClutch was replaced in 2004. but I notice a slight shimmy in the clutch pedal every ONCE in awhile. The bulkhead could use a fresh bead of silicone or a new gasket where it meets the truck bed ( as I do get a tiny bit of water to pass under at the car wash )
I am describing this vehicle as transparently as possible and to the best of my knowledge & ability. I've included every picture I could think of to show off the jeep's good points & imperfections alike. All the photos represent and depict the vehicle accurately as it sits in my garage today.
