Introduced E-type. Chassis:  875"404".

 

This specific and rare model. serial production number "404" (October 1961). is still belongs to series with so-called "flat bottom floor" (produced to the number of 534 RHD and 2 086 LHD) and with inserted "welded ventilation grille" of bonnet (produced to the number of 97 RHD and 407 LHD).

It represents first generation of 3. 8 litre engine. open two seater. It boasts of 265-horsepower. dual valve train. speed of 240 km transmitted to the rear-wheel drive of even then split axle. It is simply revolutionary car. Three carburettors ensure race performance torque and flexibility. Independent suspension of front and rear wheels along with disc brakes allows a good car holding on the road and ride which gives the standard of the sports car comfort.

      History of "404"

The first owner of this Jaguar was Nat King Cole who was jazz singer and pianist and this makes this car very special. The car runs and drives and is in excellent condition. however the car is Europe now.  The car was never crashed and is completely renovated. The car was purchased in 2005 from a prominent collector and restorer in the Czech Republic. Later in 12014 it was applied for issuing of a "certificate" of origin of vehicle. There is evidence that the first owner of vehicle was Nat "King" Cole - Jazz singer. pianist and entertainer. His daughter remembrance. prominent and famous jazz singer Natalie Cole. of the father and time when she was 10 years old: . "He also loved to drive. In the early '60s. my mom bought him a steel-gray Jaguar XKE with a black top. He liked driving fast. and I was the only one who would ride with him. Everyone else was afraid. He'd often take me to get ice cream. "
