Morris Minor Restored Traveller 1971

Be warned this will go on a bit !I am a retired garage owner. sold these cars new in the 60's ( yes I'm getting on a bit now ) and restore them as a full time hobby in a fully equipped heated workshop. I do all my own paintwork welding upholstery and electrics. This car is a Adderley Park Traveller meaning production was switched from Cowley to the Morris Commercial Division for the last few months of the Traveller production which ceased April 1971. only 300 were made after mine. it is unusual in as much they all had steering ignition/locks fitted in manufacture. I bought this one as an unfinished project ( seen in pic on my lift) with back end dismantled 90% of the welding done to my standard. I have spent close to £2500 in parts alone ( bills to support this ) breakdown as follows using new parts. My work started on 21st November 2012.
Chassis and running gear. Track rod ends. steering rack boots. upper and lower suspension bump stops. brake m/cylinder. all brake wheel cylinders. full set brake shoes. 3 brake hoses. Four radial tyres. new jacking point. gearbox steady cable rear spring and torsion bar rubbers. exhaust heat shield and pad. new wiring harness. clutch relay shaft and fork dust rubber. gearbox tail shaft seal. rear bump stop.

Bodywork. All new wood ( Bull Motif ) window channeling. cab to roof rubber. rear bumper blades. new rear lamp bodies. front screen rubber. wiper arms blades and embellishers. bonnet M flash. petrol filler grommet. wing beading. front index plate and backing plate. rear reflectors. total respray in original Teal Blue.
New engine bay parts. Plugs. points. air and oil filters. timing chain. engine steady rubbers. water pump. bonnet to bulkhead rubber. battery and retaining bar. heater hose.
Interior. Full carpet set and under felt. inertia reel front seat belts. scuttle panels. rear compartment mat set. rear compartment side panels. door draught excluder. both door glass brushes. gear lever grommet.
The centre cross member is in excellent condition having had both ends very well done in the past. front chassis legs are the best I've seen for many a day. There are two small tears in the lower upright edge of drivers seat ( see pic ) apart from that the other seats are fine.
I think at last that's it tried to describe things in detail as best I could.  bound to have forgotten some things . ne thing I should mention. on driving it back from a successful MOT this morning I am not 100% happy with the clutch so will renew it before auction ends. I would point out that all gearbox synchromesh are fine it's very rattle free on the road. engine has good oil pressure and is lively.

You may wonder why I have shown the pic of the Rose Taupe traveller. it's one I finished last November and thought its not the best time to sell so its been stored. sheeted in a dry garage and will be put up for sale in a couple of weeks. got so wrapped up in the blue one.
