65. 40 original miles. clean title.

This car is so much fun to drive. and brings back the days when the driver was connected to the car and the road.   This TR6 starts right up. and that crisp note of the raspy exhaust tells you it's time to drive this little beauty.   This car was recently refreshed and it shows!  It isn't 1973. and you can't buy a new TR6 anymore. but this one comes close!  Top up or top down. the strong torque of the in-line six cylinder engine kicks in as you accelerate through the gears. with the exhaust sounding like music to your ears!  Whether you're carving up the winding roads of the Blue Ridge Mountains. or traveling along the Pacific Coast Highway. this car stands out and will get you noticed!

This next section is for the gear-heads out there:

The car has lived its life in the South with the original November 1973 bill of sale from Kingsport Tennessee. and it's currently kept garaged in North Carolina.   It has 65. 40 miles on it. and a clean title.   No rusty body panels on this car. early in its life. the undercarriage was sealed and coated with undercarriage spray-on and it has remained rust.    The car has an all new interior which includes reupholstered seats. new carpet. door trim panels. rear cargo area. and trunk interior.   All rubber trim was replaced with new. windshield. doors. top. trunk. hood. windows – all of the weather-stripping rubber is new.   All 5 steel wheels were powder coated and fitted with new trim rings. then 5 new Coker 185R15 3/8“ Redline tires installed (the spare tire has the rubber nubs still on it).   The gas tank was professionally acid cleaned and coated internally.   All gauges work just as they should. new water pump and heater control valve and this car runs cool in the North Carolina summer heat.   There is an auxiliary electric fan on the front of the radiator. which helps keep the engine operating at an optimum temperature.   No overheating issues at all.   A new battery was installed.   A new Robbins convertible top was professionally fitted; the rear panel is a zippered one so you can drop the rear panel for excellent airflow as you race down the road.

The stock distributor was refurbished professionally being re-curved and set up with vacuum ADVANCE by British Vacuum Unit in Canterbury NH.   The original distributor was a vacuum retard unit. and lacked that crisp. quick acceleration you expect from a British car.   But that is no more. the vacuum advance and distributor rebuild corrected all of that.

New clutch installed; both the hydraulics and the disc.   New brake hoses installed all around.   There is both a battery cutoff switch and a fuel cutoff.   If you are going to park the car for extended periods. simply shut off the fuel. allow the engine to run itself out of fuel. and shut off the battery.   When you come back to drive it several months later. just open the fuel valve. close the battery switch and start it up.   The carburetors will NOT be contaminated with dried. lacquered fuel. and the car will be ready to go!
