A 1964 21 WINDOW WALK THROUGH CAMPER IN TOP CLASS SHOW CONDITION 

This bus was imported. rust free.  from Los Angeles in 1996 and was owned and maintained by a prominent member of the S. S. V. C for the next 14 years. Many improvements were carried out over this time but a major bare metal re-build and conversion to a camper was undertaken by me in 2010/11. The vehicle has been little used since then and is still as restored. There was a 5 page feature on the bus in the June 2012 edition of VolksWorld Camper & Bus. Back numbers can be purchased direct.

The vehicle has been displayed on club stands at the N. E. C. and Volks World shows and has been an award winner at the few Show & Shine classes it has appeared in. Just as an idea these are some of the Shows - 2012 - BUS JAM -Best of Show - 2012 WHITENOISE VW FESTIVAL - Best of Show - Best Split Screen - Best T2 - Visitors Choice ----  2013 (August) WHITENOISE VW FESTIVAL - Best of Show - Best Air-Cooled - Best Interior. We also attended two other classic car shows where we won Best Of Show on both occasions.

There are really too many items to list on this vehicle but here goes. Total Bare Metal Respray inside & out. All new £10. 00 custom built interior by Custom Classic & Retro to include rock & roll bed. Propex gas heater. DVD player. Retrosound radio with usb & ipod connections. Porsche front seats. nbsp;Gas hob. Stainless steel sink.

THE GENERAL SPEC.  - Lowered ride height with narrowed 'Weedeater' front beam. Creative Engineering steering rack conversion. IRS conversion. Cross drilled CSP front brake discs. 3/1303s wide rear brake drums. Empi Sprintstar alloys. Leisure battery & 240v pick up. Creative Engineering front safari's and side pop outs. Stainless steel roof rack.

'Laurie Pettit' built & fitted the top spec 1776cc engine onto the 1303s gearbox. (3. 88rp tall 4th gear) It comes with twin 40DCNF Weber carbs. remote oil filter. remote oil cooler. Vintage Speed exhaust. Rev Counter. Oil Pressure Gauge. Oil Temp. Gauge
