DESCRIPTION:

This NO RESERVE auction is for a crisp looking 1964 JAGUAR E-Type Series I roadster convertible.  It is finished in a bright red exterior paint over a rich leather saddle interior.  We had to keep reminding ourselves that the car we were looking at and driving around in was actually almost 50 years old! This beautiful classic roadster appears to have had a pretty easy life as it is showing just over 38. 00 miles on the odometer. It not only looks fantastic but it produces plenty of usable horsepower with the proven twin-cam six cylinder engine under the hood (bonnet). It moves the power through a 4-speed manual transmission.  This car is as clean as they come and it has a nearly flawless interior. There aren't even any flaws on the dash and look how tidy the trunk (boot) is!

 This slinky looking Jag was restored about 12 years ago and has been adult owned. nbsp;driven and cared for. We have the original owner's manual and keys. The older paint job is suffering from crazing and cracking due to what appears to have been less than stellar preparation. With the exception of a few very minor chips and scratches. it is a solid 10 footer. Other than that. there was very little that we could find fault with after carefully looking over and road testing this machine.  It is a pleasure for us to present a machine that was this well put together and cared for.

 This car starts right up and doesn't even need to be warmed up before you can take off and drive away. The smooth idle and even power make this car easy to launch and drive under all conditions.  It is well behaved on the road and it will cruise comfortably at or well above current day highway speeds without even breathing hard. It also stops and turns as well as it gets up and goes and it tracks like it is on rails!  

 In all regards this JAGUAR SERIES I roadster didn't disappoint us. It is a really nice machine. There is no evidence of rust present or prior. As our photos of the undercarriage will show. underneath the car is rock solid. Routine maintenance has been performed like clockwork and if there was something required it was done. The car just had a major service including front brakes. full ignition and lubrication service.

As with all of our eBay Motors listings we try to let our high resolution photographs tell the story about the vehicles that we are selling. If you study our clear multiple images very carefully. you will see exactly what this super looking JAGUAR is all about. With the low mileage and rust free body we feel that this car deserves serious consideration for a variety of enthusiasts and collectors of fine vintage automobiles.
