This is my 1978 Jaguar XJ6L. which I have owned for 31 years. I am located in a dry "high desert" area & the previous eight years before that the car lived in southern California. so there is no rust. never has been. A "John's Cars" V8 conversion kit was used to install a stock 350 crate motor. Edelbrock intake manifold & a brand new Quadrajet carburetor with electric choke. along with a remanufactured Turbo 350 transmission. The stock independent rear suspension was retained. but the rear gear ratio was changed to a higher ratio for lower RPM at cruising speeds. The brakes are 4 wheel disc. The paint is a very high quality PPG basecoat/clearcoat 1992 Camaro Teal color - looks blue in some lights and blue/green in others. The interior is leather. The dashboard is real burled walnut veneer. The grill was switched over to a "Series III" (newer) XJ grill. as the bars are horizontal instead of vertical. and they look a lot better. The outer headlights are European Spec & are larger than the inner lights. This is how the car is supposed to look - back then. to import them to the US. there was some rule that the headlights had to be all the same size. so the cars came with small outer headlights and oversized bezels to fill the void. The taillights are also from a Series III car. as they look better also.
The car has power windows & locks. keyless entry. a nice CD player with Iphone & regular phone plug in the console. automatic climate control A/C heat - just set it at 70 degrees and it keeps the car just right. Everything on the car works correctly - right down to the neutral safety switch. No detail has been overlooked. This is not a "Ten footer" car - it looks right up close. under the hood. the door jambs. all of it.
As far as shipping goes. I have a good friend that has both shipped cars from here. and had them delivered here. that is willing to help me with shipping the car to the buyer. at the buyers expense.
