Here is your opportunity to own a true American Hot Rod on this NO RESERVE AUCTION!!!!  ALL STEEL. ALL REAL & ABSOLUTE PERFECTION IN DETAIL. . . .

You are bidding on a frame up. fully restored. rust free custom. two door Mercury.   This vehicle was completed less than six months ago with only the finest materials and craftsmen anywhere in the world.   The vehicle has an all ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT sheet metal body. even the skirts!!  It has a 4” chopped top with shaved door handles. shaved trunk lever. shaved parking lights. a frenched antenna and frenched 2” lake pipes.   It was in paint and body for over 4 months where the vehicle received meticulous detail on seam spacing. jam spacing. blocking. etc and a complete three stage paint job.   The vehicle was painted in a PPG Porsche white and finished with a PPG satin clear coat.   My wife and I thought the satin clear was a great way to go since if someone decided to take it to a high gloss finish it would just require a full buff and polish! We even entertained the idea of taping a flame job and polishing the flames to high gloss giving a very unique ghost flame job with the satin/high gloss contrast? Certainly doable none the less

Exterior

The exterior is again an all Original Equipment sheet metal body.   It has been customized with 1949 Lincoln tail lights. a 1955 Chrysler New Yorker grill and 1954 Oldsmobile 88 hub caps with 6” bullets.   The hood has been louvered to perfection and we removed the hump behind the rear window during the body work phase. While the vehicle was in paint and body I took every single piece of stainless trim. molding. etc out for full restoration and polishing.   The doors and truck are accessed by remote “keychain” 100lbs heavy duty door poppers. In addition. I replaced every piece of rubber on the vehicle. window seals. door seals. etc.       

Interior

The interior of this vehicle. not to be outdone by the exterior also received a full tedious and meticulous restoration! All interior sheet metal was coated in a black rubberized non rust seal coating. The dash we kept original but adding in all digital Dolphin gauges in the original housings.   The vehicle has a brand new custom headliner and all custom door panels. seats and a plush woven carpet with dynamat sound deadening liner.   The seats and panels were done in a two tone white Ostrich inset over black leather with red piping and red seat belts.   The vehicle also has an Alpine Bluetooth audio. CD. MP3 with custom speaker surrounds throughout.   We also added a Vintage Air AC and heating unit along with power windows by Specialty Windows.  

Powertrain

Our 1949 Mercury is powered by a completely rebuilt Chevy 305 with tons of custom touches and a 700R4 transmission with overdrive and lock up kit.   The front clip. also restored is from a 1981 Trans am so it has the large power brakes and large sway bar.   The vehicle also received all new front and rear suspension during the restoration.   The Mercury also has a tilt power steering. The vehicle is sitting on a set of new BF Goodrich Silvertown tires with the wide whites!

My wife and I have had numerous Hot Rods and this by far is our pride in joy!!!  We spared no expense on any aspect of this impeccable restoration.
