SELLER REMARKS

This 1965 Cobra by Factory Five is how you do it. A cackling small block so your handling doesn't go soft. a fully independent suspension and 4-wheel disc brakes so it attacks the corners without fear. and a pure Cobra look done to show standards. Oh. and did I mention that it has only 28 miles on the clock? Forget building your own. this one is ready to go today!


Vivid Hot Rod Red is the right color on a Cobra. It's not like you're going to be sneaking around anyway. so you may as well go big. However. it's also fairly traditional. especially with the white stripes running down its length. Factory Five puts together some of the best kits in the industry. both from a looks standpoint (the proportions are right) and in terms of quality. Their cars need far less prep and fussing than some of the other kits out there. and it shows in the final product. The finish on this car is less than a year old and it shows. The finish is bright and crystal clear. with none of the sings that this is a fiberglass body. OK. perhaps the fenders are flared a bit more than a stock Cobra. but you can't argue with the results with those giant tires underneath. It's got all the little stuff right. too. including the jacking bars front and rear. a chrome roll bar. wind wings. and that flip-up Lemans-style gas cap.


The interior doesn't stray too far from the original look. with low-back buckets that wrap around your ribs and hold you in place. all surrounded by a no-nonsense cockpit that's dedicated to speed. The wood-rimmed steering wheel is a fairly accurate reproduction item out of the Factory Five catalog. and the dash is full of modern Auto Meter Ultra-Light instruments plus a few vintage-looking toggle switches for effect. That forward-canted shifter is linked to a 5-speed gearbox. so this is one Cobra that can head out on the highway without feeling like you just went 10 rounds with Mike Tyson. There's no radio. no heater. no defrost. not even a top to dilute the experience. and if you really feel like you need those things. perhaps a Cobra isn't for you. Instead. just turn the key and if you need more aural stimulation. just use your right foot because the side pipes are in stereo.


The engine is a snarky 302 that preserves the Cobra's outstanding balance and still delivers maximum thrills. It looks unassuming under the hood with traditional touches like the finned valve covers and chrome air cleaner. but you'll also notice things like a powerful alternator. power steering. and a big aluminum radiator. The suspension is fully independent. with a trick setup out back featuring an 8. 8-inch center section and coil-overs. plus a disc brake at each corner. Everything looks brand new. which it should be since it has only 28 miles on it. and the workmanship throughout is extremely good. Honestly. could you do it this well for less money? Heck. just think of the investment in rolling stock on this car. which wears gorgeous polished Torque Thrusts and 275/40/17 front and 315/35/15 rear performance radials.

TERMS OF SALE  

1. Per the eBay User Agreement. by placing a bid you are entering into a legally binding contract and are committed to purchasing the vehicle described above. The details of this commitment are further outlined in the eBay User Agreement.

2. Vehicle may be sold by Streetside Classic Cars prior to the end of the auction. Streetside Classic Cars reserves the right to end its auctions early or to cancel bids solely at its discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation.

3. The winning bidder is required to contact Streetside Classic Cars within 24 hours after the close of the auction to finalize the details of the transaction.

4. A $1. 00 non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of the auction's close.   This deposit reserves the vehicle and removes it from the market. Acceptable payment types for deposit are: credit card. wire transfer. cashier's check. and money order.

5. If winning bidder does not contact Streetside Classic Cars and submit deposit within 48 hours of auction close. vehicle may be made available to the next highest bidder or another qualified buyer on a first come. first serve basis.

6. Streetside Classic Cars has represented this vehicle to the best of its ability. Prospective bidders are encouraged to contact us directly to provide additional information or answer any questions.

7. Please be aware that all pre-owned vehicles. regardless of age. mileage. or manufacturer are subject to cosmetic wear and mechanical failure. Streetside Classic Cars encourages bidder to have a personal inspection completed prior to delivery to help ensure your satisfaction. Third party inspections are to take place prior to a vehicles shipment or delivery.

8. All vehicles are sold "AS IS" and with no warranties expressed or implied.

9. Final or winning bid price does not include shipping. tax. title. or registration fees. It is the purchaser's responsibility to provide for any state or local taxes and shipping expenses resulting from the sale.

10. We can assist you in delivery through our network of private and commercial carriers. Most of them can deliver the vehicle to your driveway. We assume no responsibility for damages or delays incurred once a vehicle is in a shipper's custody.

11. Streetside Classic Cars bears no liability and shall be held harmless for any complications. expenses. or damages resulting from a failure to meet these terms as they have been set forth and established herein.

12. An additional documentation fee of $199 will be added to the purchase price at the time of sale.
