1970 De Tomaso Mangusta

Re-listed to a complete dreamer pushing the buy it now button after an hour of listing!! i have now changed it to an auction as i cant seem to remove the buy it now option and to prevent this happening again.
Offered for sale is my ultra rare De tomaso Mangusta. I purchased over a year ago from a friend who had personally imported it from the states.
The car is currently in the Uk but i can assist with shipping and delivery to the Uk port including boxing and securing all the parts.
The car comes complete with the title and nova cert. It belonged to an elderly gentleman from Florida who owned the car since 1977. It has been sprayed gold at some stage in its life . he original colour was white with the orangey tan interior which it has today. The car is showing 39. 27. elieved to be correct. It is being offered as a full restoration project. The car will need floor pans . ills and door bottoms. The chassis. onnet. nner wings are all good. The rear gullwing doors will require a repair to one of the hinges and straightening on one of the doors near the broken hinge. It looks like it has folded back on its self. The floor pans are just flat metal so a straight forward repair for an experienced panel fabricater. But please don't think its a quick blow over respray this car will need and deserves a full restoration. The car is all complete apart from the airbox and the rear exhaust tips. its has two engine blocks a 289 and a 302. The 302 is date stamped 1969 . his is at the engine builders and is stripped and cleaned ready for a re build. The heads will need building. It is very hard to tell if engines are original to car on mangustas as there are no real records. nlike Panteras. I believe the 302 to be original to the car hence it being at the re-builders. The gearbox and other parts have been aqua jetted and are in restored condition. I have shown the extent of the rot to the floor pans these being the worst area of the car . the chassis in the rear  is in perfect condition. As you can see the engine and box have been removed and all pipework etc are still in situ. The car has factory air con which is all present. It has the original steering wheel and the original  spare. All the interior is complete and the switch gear and dials are excellent. It also has all the original carpet in the front boot area and in the rear engine bay. The windscreen got broken just last week. ut these are available. It is the American pop up headlight version. elieved 1 of 50 so a rare car. These Mangustas are hot property at the moment and you will see restored examples around £300. 00. I have been quoted £65. 00 to restore this car by a specialist. I should have started this car along time ago. ut had too much on and other projects including a very low mileage Pre L pantera that is just about finished which i will be selling. The Green one in the pictures is not for sale unless someone made me an offer i can't refuse!!I am a private collector and yes I should be keeping it . ut i have decided to pass it on to the next person. There is money to be made on this car for the next owner. t would suit someone who could do the work themselves. The good thing about this car is that it is all original and complete.
