1972 TRIUMPH STAG - Restoration completed

For sale is my 1972/3 almost fully restored Triumph Stag. This little beauty was registered just before the rolling tax year stopped. so is still TAX-FREE. Also has fully functional overdrive. MOT and most of it's service history.
I'd much rather sell it to an enthusiast who will keep it running well as this car really does mean a lot to me. I'm selling to go travelling around Australia for two years. so rather than see it potentially rust away in the corner of some garage. I want to see it go and be used/maintained.  
We bought the car as a rolling shell and since then have literally done everything to it. The paint job. whilst new. is still the same factory-original colour. and the whole interior is in surprisingly good condition with only one tear throughout through use. We have also refurbished the original ro-style wheels and also fitted it with a mohair convertible roof. We deliberately installed the more reliable 3. 5l Rover v8 engine instead of the twin-dolomite as it was notoriously bad and the Rover is so reliable. It also sounds amazing.  
This car is on the up. and I wouldn't be selling if I didn't think I needed to. Whilst most Stags range from £5000-£15000. there are concourse examples out there for £26000. The auction for this starts at £8000. the reserve is £9995 and the buy-it-now is at £11495. All fair prices. and as it is for sale elsewhere I reserve the right to remove at any time unless the reserve at least is met.
The car is currently collection only. but I'm sure we can come to some arrangement for other delivery terms (cost to you). It runs brilliantly. has not broken down - touch wood - for the last three years. and has been used regularly in the spots of fine weather we get. Otherwise remains garaged. It starts everytime. and has just recently had the bushes replaced on the front suspension as were starting to go. Literally done about two weeks ago. now fine. Receipts to prove. as well as quite a bit of documentation for the history.
Things that need work:
Roof - the roof sits about 90% flush. There are some small gaps but nothing to hinder the functionality or the fact it is waterproof.   Passenger door - window motor slow and door does not open from inside. This is currently being worked on. and should be fully fixed by time of sale. Paint - brilliant. One small scuff on the passenger-side front quarter. otherwise amazing. Interior - tear on drivers seat through use - about 3 inches long. not really an issue though. Passenger interior light needs fitting. but wiring works. £10 job. just don't have the time. Slow oil leak - would do. not really an issue. but you'll probably want to give it a service anyway when you buy it so might as well do it in one go then.

The electrics all work on this car and all instruments read true. The only thing I would say is that whilst it has obviously not done 99999 miles. I do not definately know what it has done. I believe the above list to almost comprehensively cover any faults. and that's a small list!
The car also comes with an all-weather Stormforce car cover. but naturally it would be better kept garaged. as well as some odds and ends and small spare parts.
