A chance to own a reliable beautiful British classic car ready for summer motoring!
I've owned this car since 2008 it has been a thrill to own and care for. The gearbox works seamlessly and the engine picks up nicely in any gear delivering a lovely rasp from the exhaust. Steering is precise and the brakes are up to modern standards!
Its a lovely car and its unfortunate that the purchase of a new home forces sale. I've only used the car in the dry and always warmed up and cooled down before and after running. I have paperwork dating back from the late '70's showing the history of the car
2 years ago we fitted a new engine which runs on unleaded. as well as a new clutch and gearbox so the car drives like new. All the work has receipts and warranties and it cost over £2500 to complete the work. The engine is an Ivor Searle recondition as well is the gearbox. We have had the new engine professionally tuned only a year ago so the carbs are working in perfect harmony. Since the new engine I have covered around 1000 miles.
The paint work is in good condition and the old English white really glistens in the sun light and is a real head turner. The red leather interior is original and is full of character. albeit a little worn in places.
The car has many original features keeping an authentic MkI as well as some tasteful upgrades that make it all the more usable such as updated brakes. and an overdrive feature on 3rd and 4th gear.
The rear of the car has also had some restoration work to remove corrosion so the car is pretty much rust free.
The roof is in decent condition and has been modified with a hinged frame to allow easy opening and closing.
She runs really well and easily keeps up with modern traffic. I currently drive a Mazda MX5 and its amazing how well the MGB compares to a similar modern sports roadster.
In addition to the car I am offering a full black tonneau and a spare boot for sale that has attached to it a luggage rack.
