I took this car on trade for GT recently. We sorted out all electrics. got it running. installed new starter. new battery. new alternator. refitted the exhaust with correct new hangers. We also installed another windshield frame that had a much better glass and seal. Refinished the console and radio console. refitted the dash cover properly and cleaned and refitted the carpets. The body is really solid. I painted the floors with POR15 just to seal them and they are solid. There is no rust through on the body but some bubbling is starting on one dog leg and lower fender but still looks good. All gauges work properly. seats are really nice as well as carpets and panels. Top is excellent and has zip out. Engine holds good oil pressure and runs strong with SU carbs. No rattles. shimmy. etc. It does have trouble downshifting to 2nd unless you double clutch. We think the engine is from an earlier B. Car was originally Sand Glow and repainted red. Paint is presentable and shines nice but has some chips. etc. The tires are OK but really need replaced. I have a clean PA title that goes with the car. I do not have the car registered and have only driven it in the neighborhood so please do not ask if the car can be driven a long distance. I haven't gotten around to an oil change. but we set the carbs and timing. I try to describe all my items the best I can so there are no surprises. Please see my feed back. I reserve the right to end the auction early as the car is for sale locally. If you have any questions please call 814-931-0627. The reserve is very low so bid away!!!!
