This is a 1969-½ Plymouth Road Runner (RM23M9A272xxx) is a REAL Number Matching Engine A12 car. FACTORY "M" CODE 440 Six Pack… 1 of 422 4-speed hard top Road Runners made.   (The 4-Speed is not numbers matching. appears to have a build date on it as May 13. 1968. not sure if it was for a '68 or ‘69 car… the previous owner told me he had a shop rebuild the 4-speed transmission and this is the one they gave him back. he did not notice it was not the original one).   This Road Runner came from the factory RALLYE GREEN with a WHITE vinyl top and WHITE interior; a rare option with this color combination (I have not seen another with this combo on the A12 registry).   The car has the ORIGINAL FENDER TAG. ALL BODY NUMBERS MATCH ON RAD SUPPORT AND TRUNK LIP.   The un-restored engine bay still contains many of its original components. including. radiator (part #2949054). wiper motor. coil. voltage regulator. wiring harness. alternator and hood.   All the suspension is factory original including the rear leaf springs part numbers 2539795 LH. 2539965 RH and also the correct original torsion bars part numbers 1857780 R and 1857781 L.   The original 6-pack was removed many years ago.   I have the original Edelbrock intake with all three carbs. and air cleaner.   The front and back carburetors are the correct factory part numbers(list #4393 and 4394) .   The center carb appears to have been changed and has a list # of 4412-S 3416 on it.   The original air cleaner lid is perfect and still has factory decals. BUT the original air cleaner base was modified and was cut directly around the air filter element (I cannot believe they did this!)  The original steel wheels are no longer with the car. as well as the exhaust manifolds.   The previous owner swamped the original bench seat for a friend's bucket seats and door panels from a 1970 Charger.   The rest of the interior is original (very nice cluster. dash pad and super nice dash wiring harness… even has original paint marking on glove box liner).   Although the car has been raced in its day…. the car is virtually original. never restored or disassembled!  The previous owner owned the car since 1974 (39 years with the same owner!!!) and I believe was the second owner to the car.   The car has been garage kept and was started several times a year to maintain the engine. etc but has not been driven for a very long time.   The 69. 46 miles are original.   I have color photo copies of the Ohio title from 1974 (The car is now PA Titled in my name).

After obtaining the car I ensured the engine is in running order (changed plugs. oil. anti-freeze. filter. fuel line. etc) and now the car is ready for complete restoration.   The motor sounds very strong; the previous owner told me the owner was rebuilt in the late ‘70's early ‘80's.   I would recommend having the motor checked out to ensure it is top condition though.   The car is able to be parking lot driven. on and off a trailer. but not ready for highway use.    The Road Runner also has its original Dana rear end with 4. 10 posi gears and even has the original 4. 10 tag on the rear end.

I am offering this EXTREMELY RARE A12 ROAD RUNNER car un-restored… but if it does not sell I will then restore it and expect to get over $100. 00 after fully restored since this particular car is EXTREMELY RARE!  I know the market was down on A12 cars. so this is an excellent time to get one and restore it as the car market is back and prices are once again rising.   Classic cars are one of the best current investment opportunities.

******* I put 4 black steel wheels on and changed the taillights since some of the photos were taken ********

****** JUST reposted two trunk photos to show the original Rallye Green paint underneath the white speckle paint that the previous owner sprayed.   ALL of the sheet metal (except trunk lid) IS ORIGINAL on the A12 car. ***********
