For sale.  1969 Plymouth RoadRunner.   This car is a head turner everywhere you go.  So let's see what a ride in this car is like. Let me set the scene for you.  You are ready for your first ride in an Iconic American  Muscle Car. You open the door sit down in the bucket seat and all of a sudden you are behind  the wheel and ready to take your maiden ride. Your heart is beating just a little bit faster than normal. You reach down and flip the MSD ignition. nbsp; then you turn  the key. All of a sudden your little world has just been turned upside down!  The massive 440 growls to life with a menacing rumble.   The first thing that crosses your mind is. Holy Cow what was that? Oh nothing just a 500+ Horse Power 440 coming to life. You stab the throttle a couple of times because you just can't resist. The 440 grunts each time. That silly grin creeps across your face because THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT! Sooo.  let's go for a ride.   You put the 727 in reverse. but it's a little slow to engage.  That's because it has a massive 3000 stall converter. Stab that throttle a little and she moves out.  You get into the street. shift to drive and the transmission gives a thud and the car is now ready to move forward. Again you can't resist so you stab the throttle again. and the RR is heading out. The ride is surprisingly smooth. The transmission shifts from 1st to 2nd and it is like someone hit the back of your seat with a sledge hammer. That's because it has an aggressive shift kit in it. The exhaust is growling each time the car gets ready to shift. Once you get up to speed the Flowmasters are just a burble in the background. that is until you decide to screw around. Punch the gas pedal and get pushed back in your seat. listen to the exhaust as you fly past anyone you want. of course hitting the Iconic Beep Beep horn along the way.  This isn't just a RoadRunner. this is an experience. Your are a part of muscle car history taken to the next level. How can anyone resist a car like this. It looks great. everyone gives it the thumbs up. Women love the color. men love the performance and kids love it because it looks like a Hot Wheels car come to life!

Now the important boring stuff.   The car is a real 1969 RoadRunner RM23 car. This car is also a true N96 air grabber car although the air grabber was not with the car when the current owner bought it. The front radiator support matches the VIN and matches the trunk lip. and the fender tag.  All the body numbers are correct.  This is an undercoated car.   The engine is a 1974 440. The engine has been bored out . 030 with aftermarket pistons. The original crankshaft was replaced with an Eagle crank. The rods are Eagle H beam rods. The timing chain is a Cloyes double roller. The valve train is a Crane adjustable. The pushrods are after market. The Heads are Eddlebrock aluminum. The carb is a Holley Double pumper 950 there is a fuel gauge that regulates the pressure from the electric Holley pump. The hedders are after market Hookers? (no tag)  They are coated. The ignition is MSD. The starter is a high torque mini starter. the intake is an Eddlebrock Performer. The water pump is high volume. The radiator is a triple core cross flow aluminum. The alternator. oil pan. timing chain cover are all chrome. The oil pan has a built in windage tray. The fuel lines are braided stainless steel. The transmission is a 727 with a shift kit. high stall torque converter. certfied flex plate. and kevlar bands. The rear axle is a Chrysler 8. 75 with a 3. 23 Sure grip. Manual heavy duty drum brakes all around.   The tires are Firestone Firehawk radials. The car has air shocks that can be filled from the inside of the trunk to give the huge rake for effect. The springs are very good and the pics of the car are with no air in the shocks.   All the engine and transmission work was done by Bodies Speed shop in Sarasota Florida.

This car is being sold by the current owners who are moving to a new home and prefer to not take the car with them. The car has always been garaged. The paint is in excellent condition. There is a minor ding in the drivers side rear quarter. I was unable to get the ding to show up on a picture. The paint is not cracked and the ding is minor. There are some very minor chips that have been touched up. These chips are on the hood at the edges. and the trunk on the very edge. The floor in the back passenger side foot rest area has been repaired. There is a small repair on the front drivers side frame rail. The frame rails on the car are solid and strong. The torsion bar mounts are solid. as well as the transmission crossmember.   The car was painted 6 years ago and looks fantastic. The paint was House of color paint Hemi Orange/Vitamine C Orange. nbsp; The steering wheel is off center when you drive  but the car does not pull in any direction. There are after market gauges under the dash for oil pressure and water temperature. The dash gauges do work. The fuel gauge is off by 1/2. on the low side. When the gas tank is full the fuel gauge reads 1/2.  The day the pictures were taken it was 95 degrees and the car did not get past 200 degrees in traffic. On the highway it was 190. I have worked on this car at various times for the owners over the past 6 years to fix small drips or adjust the brakes. minor things. It is a strong runner.   I do not know the camshaft specs. but my guess is it is at least 500 lift range. but that truly is only my guess.

This car comes with the following. A brand new set of B body super stock springs with the labels still on them. with the extended spring perches. The car also comes with a driveshaft safety loop. These were never installed but go with the car if the new owner wants to take it to the next level. The car also comes with a second intake. That intake is an Eddlebrock 440 RPM performer and will not fit under the stock hood.
