For sale is my treasured 1989 Mosselman twin turbo Mercedes. a very rare one off car that was modified when brand new by the company Director of Unwin Engineering. This was his personal car for approximately six years. Unwin engineering were a Tuning company that were distributors of various high end tuning brands such as Lorinser. Zender. Recaro & Mosselman Turbo systems in the 1980's-1990's and were distributors for AMG prior to the Mercedes merger. Current Mileage 88551 Tax 31/10/13 MOT August 2013 It has a superb specification Engine + gearbox 3 Litre M103 12v 6cyl Twin turbo approx 300bhp + 400nm torque boosting @ 0. 48 BAR - 7PSI and spooling up from just under 2000rpm Full Stainless steel exhaust system + ceramic coated turbo manifolds 5 Speed Manual gearbox ASD rear differential Suspension Bilstein Shocks + springs Exterior Genuine AMG gen 1 front + back bumpers with Zender sideskirts Boot mounted aerial. Wheels tyres 18"x 8. 5 et44 AMG BBS Two piece split rims with Falken Tyres Interior Original Electric Recaro CS cloth interior. especially trimmed by Recaro from the factory - and in stunning condition Sportline gearknob BBS steering wheel Walnut wood trim Period Audio system Top of the range Pioneer M9500 cassette headunit + 6 CD changer also has an fm modulator fitted so you can plug your phone + mp3 player in. Alpine cabin speakers and Alpine amp powering two 8" subwoofers in rear shelf. Recent work carried out the last year or so includes Engine fully rebuilt at 85834miles with all new genuine Mercedes parts including piston rings . crank shells. valve stems seals + head skimmed + all new genuine gaskets. 6x New Bosch mechanical injectors New silicone Turbo hoses New engine mounts New Stainless steel brake hoses Front wheel bearings Front grooved and drilled discs with green stuff pads. plus a complete brake fluid flush Rear Diff had seal + oil changed. also drive shaft coupling fitted Approx 3 years ago the fueling system was overhauled & updated by Installing a Split second additional injector controller and Turbo Technics additional twin injector plate + Bosch injectors + fuel pressure regulator + inlet plenum manifold rubber Also in my ownership along with regular servicing the following many parts have been replaced including clutch slave cylinder . fuel pumps and anything else it's required. All old MOT's to confirm mileage is 88550 the engine was fully rebuilt at 85834miles Good history file with all receipts for work carried out/parts purchased over the years . I also have contact details of all previous keepers. The car comes with all 4 original keys & and is fitted CAT 1 alarm with both fobs. The sale also includes an original Mosselman Turbo systems brochure + Recaro seat brochure. Overall the car is in very good condition bodywork wise. but it does have a few minor marks that you would expect a 23 year old car to have. There is nothing that stands out but it's not 100% showroom perfect. very honest and it polishes up really well and still looks stunning. When the car was MOTd recently my mechanic advised that the top turbo has a slight oil weep on the return line. annoyingly to tighten the thread the turbo needs to be removed to adjust pipe. the mechanic quoted £150-200 labour .  the car also requires 1 new rear tyre as the tread is near the marker. The car has phenomenal low end torque and the sound of turbos spooling up and waste-gates dumping the waste gases puts a massive smile on your face on every journey. Basically this car has been fully mechanically overhauled . It uses standard Mercedes engine components. head gasket valves . cams etc so easy to source and sensibly priced unlike similar period Brabus or AMG cars. This car is my pride and joy and I am only selling to generate funds to start up a new business. Once this is up and running I would happily buy this car back. This car is a one of a kind stunning original example and the first serious person to view it will buy it. You will not find another example in the world!!
