BACKGROUND

A good opportunity to purchase a rare car. I would say good for the age and with little effort and money spent would make a really nice car.  However. can also be used as it is; could be taken to a show and you wouldn't be ashamed. This car drives very well and gets admiring glances wherever it goes. It has good history (old MOT's and receipts; original buff logbook. original handbook and workshop manual) going back to the early 1970's. Was owned within the same family from early 1970's until recently. This car is finished in probably the best colour combination for a Wolseley 6/110.

EXTERIOR

A good all round and solid car which has been re-sprayed in the past and polishes up well. There are a few rust bubbles on the bottom of the drivers door and drivers side rear door but nothing major. Underneath it has not had the usual plate over the outriggers. so has the box section there. These are good as are the sills. The trumpet sections are solid. Inner engine bay side walls are all solid and hole free. Front wings are very good and all around the front also is good. Front valance is solid and rear valance underneath the rear bumper is also in good shape as this is usually a common place where they rust. This car has a few chips here and there on the paint so has had a few touch ups done in the past.

Chrome is generally in good order. rear bumper centre blade and drivers side rear quarter is dent free but to make it good would benefit from a re-chrome. Passenger rear quarter is in mint condition. Rear overriders are in good shape and are dent free (which is rare). Front bumper polishes up very nicely. someone has had a badge bar fitted in the past so there are a few holes near the grille. Front overriders again are in good shape and are dent free (very rare). Front grille is in good condition and is pit free and polishes up very well.

 INTERIOR

On the hole the interior has a nice feeling about it. All the seats are in good condition apart from on the passenger seat base there is a rip (which is the only issue). Carpets are not original but have been re-made to a high standard with good quality material. Furflex again is non original but is top quality and is in good condition. Headlining is very nice with no rips again rare for these cars. Wood on the dash on the whole is good with just a few cracks in the lacquer. Door capping's have been re-varnished and are in fair condition.

MECHANICS

Good solid engine and has had a recent oil and filter change. Good oil pressure. Carbs have been set up correctly and the car has power steering which doesn't leak. Brakes are good; has had recent rear wheel cylinders. Has had recent points. rotor arm . condenser and coil. Gear box is good as is the clutch. 4 recent tyres on original 13 inch rims.
