When I bought this car. it was in excellent shape. It had won a blue ribbon at a Seattle VW meet. I had it professionally restored. It was taken apart. completely primed. given six coats of lacquer. and all of the chrome was either replaced with new or replanted. No mechanical issues outside minor and typical oil leak around rear axle boot. Some sediment in gas tank which does not affect performance. but I will have tank flushed before transfer. New floorboard. No rust anywhere. Engine runs like new. I'm reasonably certain this is original mileage. Bought the car and had it restored to drive my grand kids around in. but they're in too many activities now. so rather than let this beauty collect dust. I'm selling. It has always been garaged. I have a white boot for the convertible top. Because the original VW blue is "Carolina blue. this would be a perfect car for a UNC-Chapel Hill alumnus. Purchaser arranges transportation. but I'll help with that if needed.
