My Daimler Double Six is one of those rare cars that actually is better than it looks in the photos. The condition/history/maintenance and value are as good as you will ever find in n a Series 3 XJ. It drives absolutely superbly. The underside. wheel arches. sills. doors. boot lid etc are all spotless and no paintwork has ever been done to the car since it was made.
It is one of the last proper XJ's to be built. and in the solid colour of Brooklands Green is stunning. Seats are in Doeskin autolux leather as used by Rolls-Royce. These cars are the last Jaguars that were actually semi-coach built and anyone who knows about them will appreciate that they are the last of real Browns Lane cars.
Originally supplied to a private owner in the South of Japan. the car was kept garaged at this wealthy executive's summer home. The car has never been exposed to rain or road salt. I cannot stress enough how remarkable the underside of the car is and totally free of any corrosion or damage whatsoever. The exhaust for example. looks as if it is only weeks old and not 22 years. The Kent alloys are also perfect. The car is one of the last series 3 V12's and therefore has ABS brakes. Speedometer is calibrated in Km and not miles but otherwise all is as per a UK spec car (without the rust). The speedometer can be changed easily for a UK one but I have not even considered it as I like the originality. No UK kept car could ever have remained so corrosion free.

All the above has been carried out at a Jaguar main dealer. Every service has detailed graphic depicting all work carried out. A full service has been carried out in May 2013 at Premier Jaguar in Swindon and the oil is Classic XL 20/50. Coolant has been changed and brake fluid. MOT March 2014 and road tax till end September 2013 and will qualify for classic insurance if required.
It drives silently and smoothly like a magic carpet.
The car has the original and complete tool kit and the spare wheel is unused and as new. All tyres are Pirellis a and have plenty of tread on them. CD auto changer
is fitted. The car's interior is in beautiful condition and has Wilton carpets and the original lambs wool over rugs in matching green.
The headlining is perfect.
People have contacted me regarding comparison with other cars that may appear cheaper. I have suggested that they go and see these cars and then compare with mine. I would suggest anyone considering buying a jaguar/Daimler series 3 buys only a car without Any body rust whatsoever. I know from experience how expensive this is to put right. Also a total main dealer history is vital with a Double Six. They are not for back street garages.

By the way. I received a negative comment on my ebay account because I advertised some anchor chain on behalf of an elderly friend who does not have an ebay account and he got the length and size wrong. A full refund was given. I was not involved but received the bad comment unfortunately. Given that my car is as described. I know this is important for overseas buyers to feel confident and I can arrange shipping if required following cleared funds.
