Outstanding Survivor! If you have been searching for a Jeep that has not been mechanically "touched" since new. this is it. Never lifted. This is a 1985 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler with just over 33. 00 ORIGINAL miles. CLEAN CARFAX and Title. ORIGINAL 258 Engine. ORIGINAL (Pickup-style) Hard top. Original Wheels. Original Owners Manual and documents (and a new one). Original Sales Brochure! The original paint code is 2d (Deep night blue). It has been white since the 1990's where she served as a grounds keeping vehicle at a Nebraska Cemetery. (Hence. the low mileage) There is a small hole in the Firewall data plate that was drilled for the control cable for a plow that was mounted on her to clear off the cemetery roads. The seats had the normal wear and tear. so they now have very nice Black Mountain seat covers. New aftermarket CJ fitted black carpet. To prevent grounds keeping excess wear on the bed. the floorboards were powder-coated in black. The front windscreen is new. It was replaced in 2014 due to a crack that formed on a corner. While the windscreen was out. what little rust was inside the window frame (They all get rust near the bottom center) was sanded. cleaned and painted. Right rear light assembly is cracked at the top (see jpg) but is otherwise fine. Everything works. including the original AM/FM Radio. (speakers. of course. are not original) You can tell from the like-new glove box that she has not seen much hardship. Everything functions fabulously. She starts every time. No fuss. Drives straight and is a sheer pleasure to take on a Sunday Drive (and be noticed by jeep aficionados everywhere you go). Brand new battery and tires have plenty of life in them. I have babied her for as long as I have owned her. She has a clean-bill of health from the Local Jeep Dealer. All the rubber is still good- No rattles or thumps. In the photos you can see minor cracks in the paint near the body seams and there is a small (less than one inch) spot of rust under the paint. There are not many more Scramblers like her out there. She has been in a couple of parades and classic rallys. Everyone adores her. I really do not want to let her go. but sometimes life forces us to adjust our priorities. I will not be giving her away. so don't ask. Thank You for your love of JEEPs!
