This is a true original 1965 3. 8 Jaguar S-Type. The Jaguar Heritage Trust has indicated that this is 1 of only 75 early S-Types left on their World Wide Register. I am the 2nd owner of the car and have had it for 6 years. The prior owner bought the car brand new in California in 1965 before retiring to Palm Beach Florida. I was not looking for a show car. but a car I could use on weekends. Although it drives well. I put most of my time into restoring and replacing parts here and there. therefore I did not put many miles on it. I have a folder of receipts that come with the car along with a number of parts. some original and some newer.
The front dash cover. speedo and instrument panel wood needs to be re-laminated. The paint work does need a little attention (it's about an 8 out of 10 from 5ft). The interior leather on the drive side seat has a blemish. The brakes are typical Jaguar. meaning a hard pedal that slows you. rather than stopping on a dime. All gauges and lights work. Engine and gearbox are matching numbers. New tires. Drives well. Car just passed 2017 inspection. Comes with certificate from The Prestige Jaguar Heritage Trust.
