'JaguarSport' was formally set up in 1988 during a remarkably
successful chapter in Jaguar's racing history. Owned equally
between Jaguar and Tom Walkinshaw's TWR Group. the first road going
Sportscar was the XJR-S 5. 3 litre. Standard V12 road versions were
delivered to TWR's premises and fitted with plush JaguarSport
interior and exterior trim modifications allied to uprated
suspension and 'Speedline' alloy wheels. TWR recorded drag
coefficient improvements of over 10% and the vehicles were reported
to not only look but feel and perform better.

Finished in Solent Blue with magnolia leather upholstery and
blue carpets. the 58. 00 miles is qualified by a substantial
history file and original old MoT test certificates. Sold by Guy
Salmon Jaguar Dealership in Thames Ditton. Surrey on 23rd October
1992 to the current registered keeper. the history file
demonstrates diligent maintenance and the car presents very well.
The old blue V5 Logbook shows the vehicle being registered for a
period to the registered keeper's partner before the car was
re-registered in his own name. All of the maintenance paperwork for
this period continues however to carry the current registered
keeper's name; effectively the same owner for 20 years.

Approximately six years ago. the car was placed into dry storage
due to the owner's poor health. but was resurrected in Spring 2012
with minor re-commissioning. including new headlining. new tyres. br/>oil and filter changes. 12 new spark plugs. brake refurbishment and
a rebuilt rear axle with new bearings. The vendor describes the car
as a genuine pleasure to drive with strong power and smooth
transmission and steering. Everything is understood to work as it
was designed to do so but for the original Jaguar stereo which is
presently disconnected. The bodywork shows no physical signs of
corrosion and the paintwork has retained a deep shine thanks to the
car having been garaged throughout the majority of its life. The
boot area is virtually spotless with original tool kit wrap as well
as a Jaguar bag with complimentary maintenance materials. It has
not been modified but for a leaping Jaguar mascot and later XJS
alloy wheels which were placed on the car in the early 1990's (in
perfect condition). The car comes with a valuable full set of five
refurbished Speedline 'bottletop' XJR-S alloys.

There are two sets of keys (including original Guy Salmon key
fob). original owner's booklet wallet (in correct magnolia leather
as per XJR-S specification to match the car leather). The last MoT
test certificate had no advisories and it will have a fresh 12
month's certificate before being presented for sale. Possibly one
of the lowest mileage examples remaining. the seductive lines are
now enjoying increasing favour especially with 'Classic &
Sportscar' magazine tipping the Jaguar XJS as one for the shrewd
investor.
