One adult owner has enjoyed many good years with this car. Never raced or wrecked. Always garaged. The exterior is in great shape while the interior is starting to show its age. The leather seats and wheel are in great shape considering the age and mileage. The plastic interior pieces are another matter. Even though the car has always been garaged. a few interior pieces have cracked. Look at the pics for an example. Each interior piece is available on the web so replacement will be easy. The carpet on the doors has started to peel away too. Check the pics. As with every other C4 out there. there are quite a few interior rattles while driving.
The gauge cluster is new and it works. Engine is stock but the mufflers have been replaced. Tires are barely worn at all. A/C blows cold. The radio does not always work. do not know why. The car starts up every time without fuss. and runs great. There is something amiss with the cooling fan control. Sometimes it turns on long before it is warm and sometimes it does not turn on when it should. It has never overheated because I can turn the car off and back on and then the fan turns on.
We have the optional clear roof. It should be in good shape since it has been in its protective bag since 1988. It was installed on the car a few times in the 80s but never since then. I can confirm its condition if you want. Just got to call Dad and have him look. The headliner fabric of the solid top has started to pull away from the substrate.
Questions are welcome. just ask.
I noticed the listing shows two owners. This is untrue. My Dad has owned it since new and the title is in his name. The car was originally a lease but Dad bought it at the end of the lease. The corrected title was to fix a typo when the car was transferred from MD to FL back in 1992.
The listing ends this Monday. I will be out of town until late Wednesday. I should have time to check on the result on Monday. but worst case is I will contact the buyer first thing Thursday morning.
