1979 Ford F-150

For sale is a solid 79 F150. The truck has been nearly 100% rebuilt using new. name brand parts.   Would make a fantastic truck as is or a very cheap investment in a full custom restoration.   The work that has been done to the suspension and engine alone will hold its own. This has been my truck for the past 7 years and due to our family growing larger. I am needing to sell it to get a vehicle with more seating. Here is all that has been done to her.

The truck is lifted 4" and has 35-12. 50x15" tires on 10" wide aluminum rims. The entire front end is new. including all bushings. ball joints. knuckles. hubs and steering box. The steering also has a new rag joint. u-joint. and power steering pump. The rear axle has had 4. 10 gears and the fronts 4. 11s. The speedometer gears are also new and 60 is still 60. Rear springs are new and are 5000 lb rated. Fronts are also new and rated for 3500. Brakes are all rebuilt and have a new master cylinder.

The engine is a 400 has approximately 10. 00 miles on a very extensive rebuild. It has been line bored. and crank ground. New flat top Keith Black pistons and full floating wrist pins installed raising the compression to 9. 7:1. A full Crane cam kit let's it breathe through fully rebuilt heads. The lift is . 495" and air is delivered through a Holley 600 and a vintage single plane Edelbrock "spider" intake. Exhaust flows through long tube headers into 2. 5" pipes and single chamber Jones mufflers. Built by proven recipe this motor is making about 390 horsepower and 480ft/lbs for torque.   Much more power than the smogged out stocker. This is a 4 speed manual truck. It has hauled everything I have ever asked it to without breaking a sweat. The radiator has also been rebuilt professionally with all new hoses.

Body wise. there are some small dents and some minor rust. Body and bed are still very solid and the floors are strong. There is one minor rust hole under the cab on the passenger side rear. Nothing that really hurts the integrity of the cab. I have taken this down and given  a PPG Semi-gloss black paint job to match the bed I put on it. Nothing fancy. but looks nice. There is some minor rust peeking through but not bad. The cab also has new door weatherstripping and a new front windshield.

All said. this truck is rock solid and ready to go anywhere. Aside from the body. this truck is as new as they come for this very low price. The transmission leaks a little. but nothing uncharacteristic for these 4 speeds. Almost forgot. will come with a cobra 29 CB and a 44" light bar.
