1973 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000

This is a no reserve auction. Up for sale is a 1973 Alfa Romeo GTV in Maryland. Not often one becomes available on the North East. This is a really nice driver not a show car. It is in excellent mechanical shape and drives Great!  Paint is not perfect but car gets compliments wherever it goes. Looks good from 10 feet away but there are defect in the pain upon close inspection.  Car is a ton of fun to drive. the muffler note is wonderful and tracks as if on rails.

THE GOOD

·        New head from International Auto Parts (AIP) in 2010

·        New Wes Ingram SPICA pump w thermo actuator installed last year ($1500)

·        New Centerline Alfa Stainless steel long header

·        New 123 electronic ignition

·        Rebuilt transmission. shifts smooth no crunch in any gear

·        Refurbished Chromodora magnesium DAYTONA wheels and new tires (Falken 195/65/14) last year. Three of the wheels are original and one is an aluminum copy from AIP. The wheel refurbishing company showed me how one was cracked and would not try to fix it. I will look for the cracked wheel and include it if found. The whole deal cost me around $1600.  

·        Rebuilt brake calipers (1 new this year)

·        IAP sport springs

·        Koni Red shocks

·        All new complete front suspension components kit installed in 2010

·        All new rear suspension urethane bushings

·        Excellent black interior and new headliner

·        Kenwood radio with remote control and USB port for I Pod I Phone or smart phone connection. Pandora compatible.

·        Infinity component speakers front and Pioneer 6x9 speakers rear

·        All electrical equipment works as it should

THE NOT SO GOOD

·        Rust around the emblem on Trunk (picture)

·        Dent next to fuel door from inside to outside (pictured)

·        Paint could be better; car was going to be prepared as a track car by previous owner but the project never took off. That is why the paint was not done to standard.

All of the shortcoming can be fixed with a nice paint job or you can enjoy as is (as I do). Selling because right now I have too many projects. (pictured) so one must be sacrificed for funding the others. Sad to see my GTV go.

This car is sold as is where is with no warranty. Car is 40 years old so some defects are to be expected. Car is located in Laurel Maryland. viewing and inspections are welcomed and encouraged/preferred. Buyer is responsible for pick-up and or transport.
