1974 Alfa Romeo GTV

I purchased this 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 in 2010 with an odometer reading of 99. 00 and driven about 8. 00 miles since then. This car was featured in the Oct 30. 2008 edition of Sport Car Digest and you can search on VIN 3025444 to get info on its condition documented back in 2008.

This Dark Blue Alfa was restored back in 2000 as a GTA style car.  From my observations. the car was not involved any accidents and at the time of the 2000 restoration the fender wells. rocker panels and front drivers side floor pan were rusted. The car was fitted with fiberglass fender flares. new rockers and a section front drivers floor pan was replaced.  I have not done any body work on the car since I purchased it. There are some; cracks around the fender flares. visible bubbling around the rocker panels and the right front jack point a little soft. These issues were there when I purchased the car and have not gotten worse.

The 2. 0L inline-four runs strong. does not smoke and was fitted with a hot cam and higher compression pistons during the 2000 restoration. The engine component is well sorted out. The 5-speed manual transmission shifts smoothly and the clutch seems fine.

Regarding the interior. the console and dash are in good condition and all gauges work. The front driver seat has 2 rips in the vinyl. The door panels are a little warped at the bottom. the top of the dash has a crack and the red carpet is worn.

-        2010         Rebuilt alternate and replaced voltage regulator

§  Installed sump guard

§  Installed new hoses. spark plugs. and rotor cap

-       2011         Rebuilt rear suspension and drive train.  

                      New rear Koni shocks

                        All new rear suspension bushings

§  New rear springs

§  Rebuilt rear brake calibers and installed new pads

§  New U joints

§  New drive doughnut

§  Replaced Slave Clutch Cylinder

§  Replaced Carburetor Mounts

§  Replaced Center drive shaft mount and bearing.

§  Replaced Brake hoses

Replaced engine motor mounts

-       2012                  Installed new spare tire with Rota wheel

-       2013                  Carburetors were rebuilt

-       2014                  Installed new 2. 25” Stainless Steel Magna exhaust

This is not a show car. But. it is a solid respectable driver that can be driven as is or easily brought to the next level. The suspension is stiff and the car handles/sounds GREAT!  Please contact me with questions prior to placing a bid. Thank you!
