Looks superb. sounds awesome. goes like crazy!



Engine: 302 cubic inch (approx. 5000cc). High Lift Cam. Holley Weiand performance Intake Manifold. Edelbrock 600 carburettor. Edelbrock aluminium Rocker Covers. Electronic Ignition. Twin 'cherry bomb' exhausts with new 3" diameter twin stainless steel tail pipes. Runs all day long. will rumble along happily. no overheating. smoke. knocks or bangs. Heavy Duty battery. New regulator. Aluminium Fuel Cell in boot. Lots of power. naturally. All good.
Transmission: 4 speed manual. Hurst Shifter with pool ball style knob. 9" rear end with LSD.
Bodywork: Highly modified. featuring Shelby Hood Scoop. Shelby Side Scoops. Shelby Rear Spoiler. and Shelby Rear Light conversion. Rear arches 'tubbed' to accommodate oversize tyres.  Stance is perfect. Paintwork is superb. near show quality with deep gloss. New grill. headlights & front bumper at build. New windscreen. Note that the car appears 'redder' in the metal than photos suggest.  
Underneath: Solid as a rock. no rust or corrosion to bodywork whatsoever. Professionally undersealed since arrival in damp UK. This car has spent 42 of its 45 years in sunny ol' Kentucky - and it shows.
Wheels & tyres: Weld Draglite wheels front & rear (though to be fair they are so different in size you'd never believe they were related!). New 155 width front tyres. rears are the obligatory 18. 5" wide x 29" Mickey Thompson Sportsmans with loads of tread left.
Interior: At the time of building new Corbeau GT Bucket seats were fitted. new black and still unmarked headlining. new black carpets. period Mustang radio / cassette player (never turned it on. I prefer the original soundtrack!). Grant Steering wheel with Mustang centre boss horn. 10k Autometer Tachometer with Shift Light. New Fuel Gauge. 2 speed wipers. lights. indicators. Newly carpeted boot.
The driving experience: Perhaps surprisingly. given its appearance and sound. its actually a very easy car to drive. and lollops along very comfortably. Gear change and clutch are a delight. brakes and steering are of its era. the driving position & environment are good. a pleasant place to sit. Drive this car and on arrival you will be grinning from ear to ear. you really do drive a car like this. and experience it. and you feel a sense of satisfaction when you arrive. Almost as great a sense of satisfaction as when you start it again - it's addictive!!
Some History: Lived in Kentucky all its life. professionally modified in Kentucky before export. Only shipped over to UK early 2010. by specialist Mustang importer.  Currently on an age related 1968 number plate. 'RP' relates to Northamptonshire. where it is based.
Paperwork etc: V5 document present. MOT to 16 MARCH 2014. no advisories. Previous 3 MOTs; no advisories. HPI Report showing all clear with no unpleasant surprises.  Cheap classic car insurance. current 'mature' keeper paying just £101 a year.  2 sets of keys. One key opens both doors & ignition. 2nd key for boot.
TAX FREE (thankfully its not based on emissions!). currently taxed to end February 2014.
The build quality is very good indeed and this car can fairly be described as being in exceptional condition. Everyone seems to love this car. any prospective owner should be prepared for lots of attention. smiles and waves.  
Ready to show / enjoy / take to the strip if you dare. A turnkey car. all sorted. all good. I hope the photos give some indication of the car's fantastic condition. it really is exceptional.
