This is a Daimler 15 with the Daimler straight 6 engine and famous Wilson Pre- select gearbox. This car has had one owner from new to 1969 (picture of father and son in box circ. 1939) and then it was garaged and since has had a full nut and bolt rebuild to exacting standards yet retaining the original interior (new headlining) and some over mats. The interior wood is exceptional. To have owned a car like this for the past 43 years and complete such and outstanding example must be unique. The car has a full photographic record of all the rebuild including . ngine. earbox. rakes and all running gear together with rebuild to wheels and new Avon tyres. This car is fitted with Andre hydro-telecontrol shock absorbers (not commissioned) but fully rebuilt and controlled from inside the car! The seats are complete with no rips and are soft and firm to sit on. The glass is safety glass and in top condition. The paintwork is like glass (see pictures with my reflection) and is unmarked. The car has a hand painted double coach line as per original in silver flake. The chrome is in exceptional condition. The sun roof works and opens and closes without any leaks. The engine of the car has a single SU carb and is connected with the original brass head. the radiator has been re cored and all parts under the bonnet reconditioned. The car drives as it should and starts first time without smoke and drives with nice gear changes up and down. The brakes work very well (like a much later car) and the hand brake holds on the steepest of hills. The car has been rewired with period cables and whilst after market indicators have been fitted (for use in modern traffic) the original indicators work. should the new ones be removed. The windscreen opens out. I have the original sales leaflet which gives the sizes of the car as 5' 52 wide and 15' long it holds 12 gallons of fuel and is 16. 2 hp. The car keeps with modern traffic and could be driven anywhere in Europe today! I have all hand books/parts books and the special tool for the inbuilt jacking system which of course works as it should. The tool bag is a 1938 canvas bag which also has the starting handle although the car is 12 volts and starts on the button from inside the car. The main body of the car is dark blue and the wings are black all of which shines so well. The car underside is rust free and is clean as on top. I could write so much about this important and rare car so please just ask /email/any questions and I will answer them. I will start the auction at £14750. 00 which would not even cover the cost of rebuild  and sell without reserve. A similar car (not as good as this) recently sold for £19K so please no silly offers. Paypal is not accepted on this sale please ring for payment methods. Inspection welcomed. I can collect from Bristol International airport. ocal train/coach stations. I can arrange delivery anywhere in Europe please ring for a price which will be done at cost. For those of you that know me I am getting to the end of my collection sale for this year  so the Mark 11 Jaguar and the Daimler Special Sport (the very best anywhere) will follow in the following weeks. I can be contacted on 01179372558 or mobile 07917304801. many thanks James.
