History:

My dad bought this 4runner for me in 2007 with 47k miles on the odometer. Initially he changed the ball joints. shocks and struts. steering column. and got it serviced. We did the 60k mile service early just to be safe. It had cloth. but my dad had a leather interior put in because he is cool like that.

Shortly after. I put on the K&N intake and did the exhaust—and quickly realized I wanted more power. After a lot of research. we found a new 2nd Gen supercharger online and had that installed at a dealer along with the 7th injector kit from URD. This was all done by a TRD trained mechanic at the local dealer. Every time I went back for servicing. he was the one who worked on it.

The clear-coat was gone in a lot of places. so we decided to paint the car. This was done in the same color to save on costs. It was done by a very reputable shop in Pasadena. CA and they did an extra layer of clear-coat to help buff things out later.

I drove it this way for a long time. Then a few years ago I decided I wanted more performance still. This was about 2013/2014. I put on the smaller 2. 2" pulley from URD. got the Addco sway bars put in. and did the 231mm brake upgrade nearly all at once. About 8 months later I had it tuned by SplitSecond in San Diego (they make the URD 7th injector kits). I also had a new stereo put in so I could do bluetooth in the car and I upgraded the speakers.

In all of this. I tried my best to keep the car looking as stock as possible. I went with a double din stereo that looks very clean compared to others. and the lighting even comes close to matching the greenish hue of the gauges and clock. For a long time. the only non-stock exterior features were the LED brake lights. But then I decided to paint my wheels black and do the Xenon headlights. Beyond these alterations. it's stock and definitely a sleeper.

I've meticulously kept this 4runner. The supercharger was installed by a skilled mechanic at a local Toyota dealer. When he left to start his own high-end shop. I went with him and he continued to see my car despite now working on BMWs. MB. Audi. and other luxury brands. While living in SF. I would drive to Sonoma Raceway to have it worked on by Tim Barber at TFB--a highly reputable shop and again. overkill for a Toyota. In So-Cal if I need to go to the dealer or have a very specialized question. I only take it to a Master Mechanic I know at Penske Toyota in Downey. My contact there has a supercharged Tundra so he's heavily invested in helping other TRD guys out. Awesome guy.

I'll include these points of contact if you're in the region relevant to each one. so you can ensure that it gets cared for by someone that has seen the car many many times.

The big question on everyone's mind: Why. oh why. am I selling?

It's been a dream to own this car. I always envisioned driving this forever—but due to a change in employment I was forced to get a more "professional" car as I'm driving around clients more than ever before. Sadly. a supercharged 4runner doesn't quite make that cut.

I've never had any issues with the car. It's gotten me through a lot. and in return I've treated it better than most do. All the windows. buttons. etc are operational including the sunroof and rear window and there is no rust I know of.

This car will run for years to come and would be an awesome car to own for nearly anyone. It's reliable. relatively fuel-efficient. and cheap to own.

Details about the exterior:

The paint is really great as you can tell. with all normal wear.

Overall. the paint is pretty phenomenal as you can see from the pictures. and when I had the car repainted they did an extra layer of clear to help protect against scratches and to make it easier to buff things out later.

Happy to chat and provide any information that I can to help.
