1983 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series

This 1983 Mercedes-Benz 240D is in great condition with only 67. 78 original miles.   I inherited this car from my dad. who was the original owner and purchased the car new in Tupelo. Mississippi.   The car has been garage kept and was mostly driven on weekends.   Although I do not have all the service records. I do know that my dad had it serviced on a regular basis and did some regular maintenance himself.   I recently had the car thoroughly checked out and serviced by an import repair specialist where they made minor repairs and said the car was in excellent condition.   The repairs that were made included replacing all belts. replacing 4 glow plugs. replacing AC blower. adjusting vacuum to transmission. repairing power windows and repairing door striker on one door.   After those repairs. everything seems to be in great working order.   The diesel engine sounds and runs great.   This car is built rock solid and it gets excellent gas mileage at approximately 30 MPG.   The sunroof. electric antenna. electric windows. central locking vacuum door locks and power steering are all in working order.   Also. I replaced the battery about a month ago.   The exterior paint color is Ascot Gray and is in very good condition with only a few tiny blemishes.   I think there may be a place on one of the back fenders where it was touched up at a dealership after someone backed into it in a parking lot but I can't even tell which fender it was.   On a couple of the hubcaps. there is some paint that is peeling; but not on the car body and there are no signs of rust.   The interior has blue leather seats and they are in excellent condition.   The wood grain looking accents are in great condition with the only exception being the glove compartment where it does not fit down flush with the door. but still looks fine.   The original owner's manual and original window sticker are included.   This car has NEVER been smoked in.
