Bottom Line Up Front:

I'm a private owner (not a car salesman) and I take very good care of all my vehicles and am very picky about the condition of my vehicles.  I typically will buy used vehicles. fix them up and use them for personal use.   I will always be upfront on a vehicle's condition.   Below is a vehicle I originally purchased for myself but found it to be oversold and under-described when I purchased it about a year ago.  I will now give you the real details of the truck and if you are interested it can be a good truck with some time/money.

I purchased this 2005 F150 FX4 on ebay about a year ago from godspeed16 out of Connecticut.   The truck has approx. 158. 00 miles on it which I was told are all highway miles as it was a daily driving vehicle for the previous owner in New England.   I shipped the truck to Michigan and then drove it 6. 5 hours to a mechanic friend of mine in Upstate NY to have him give it a full checkout.

Upon doing so we found that the rear frame rails were rotted (see photos).   I requested 2 estimates to replace the frame rails and received a quote of $2K and one of $4K.   I am not a frame guy so this fixer-upper is out of my league.

The truck has some rust at the bottom of the doors and one hole on the body behind the rear door driver's side.   This was originally covered up by the previous owner but I exposed the hole to fix it the right way. nbsp; I just didn't get around to it.  This can easily be fixed on your own or by a professional.

There is also a small exhaust leak (I think near the manifold).   This does not cause issue with the performance of the vehicle or create any issues with exhaust in the interior of the truck (it's just a little bit louder than normal when it starts up cold and then quiets down to normal).

Those are the negatives. now for the positives:

This is a non-smoking. non-plow. non-work truck.   The truck runs well and starts up with one turn.   Engine has no issues that I or my mechanic are aware of and transmission shifts well (like I said I drove it 6. 5 hours from Michigan to NY).   4x4 engages as it should. brakes work well. and all electronics work correctly (except the rear middle window above the bed doesn't open).  AC & Heater work great. Truck tires are practically brand new with great tread on them. The cloth interior is in good shape as is the interior in general.   The truck bed has the HERCULINER do-it-yourself bed-liner on it.   I was told the truck was always serviced when needed.   Oil changed every 3K. it had a full tune-up at 110K. spark plugs. trans and diff fluid changed as well as front wheel hubs.   I did a full service oil change when I received the truck and put a new tail pipe on the truck.   Interior has been cleaned and polished and I replaced the non-working fog lights with new working fog lights. The bug shield and bed cover you see in the pics has been disposed of since the pics were taken.

Truck is sold as is where is for $5900 OBO.
