Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.25) based on 483 votes

I have owned this car since June of 1990.   Purchased with 94. 82 original miles.   Car now has 108. 50 miles on it (shows 8650 on the odometer).   That's an average of 620 miles a year since my ownership.

Previous owner advised that the right front end was hit and repaired.   Poor fiberglass repair.   (see front end photos).   Lower grille molding is not there. since it would not fit with the poor fiberglass repair.   Front end. frame. etc.   was very good.   (no rust anywhere on the frame).  I had car checked out and aligned by The Corvette Shop. in Southfield. Michigan

Has the same paint when I got the car.   Looks like acrylic. but I am not an expert.   Chipping and cracking in all the usual places (see photos).   Car still looks great as can be seen in the photos.

Engine runs fantastic.   Engine has flat top pistons and a Comp hydraulic roller cam (XR270HR).   The heads have been reworked with 2. 02 intakes.   I believe the heads are from a 1964 fuel injected engine.   Fuel injection unit was recently rebuilt by Jack Podell in June. 2013.   This is not a numbers matching car.   Engine numbers match body tag. but there are other changes as noted.   Also. I replaced the “original” transmission (not sure it was original) with a Richmond Super T-10 four-speed.

 The following items don't work:

1.       Horn

2.      Clock.   I had it fixed once and it lasted about a week before it stopped working.

3.      Battery indicator gauge does not register.

I have the original radiator.   (I put on the aluminum radiator when we moved to Georgia).   I thought the heat would be a problem.   Temperature has NEVER been a problem.   Stays at 180 degrees even on 90 plus degree days.

I also have the original AM radio and the original 4 -speed shifter.   I replaced the 4- speed shifter with the Hurst 4-speed shifter. with the correct shifter arm.   (see photos).

I had replaced the carpeting on the inside over 10 years ago. so it shows some fading due to age.

A piece of the plastic on the glove box is broken off (see photo).

There is a small chip in the front windshield.   Also. the window molding on the drivers side has scratches caused by the windshield wiper. (see photos).

This car runs great and looks great.   With a little tender loving care. it could be a real looker.   I have other cars and really don't give this car much attention.   I think it is time to go to a new home after 23 years.
