I bought this 2002 tii around 2 years ago with the intention of restoring her and possibly taking it classic car rallying. The V5 logbook is present but no other paperwork or history. It is showing 7 former keepers. the owner before me acquired it on 27/07/2000 and the owner before him acquired it on 01/06/1985. I am not on the logbook as I sent away the trade slip. I intended to contact the previous owners to see if I could find some history for the car. I have had it running on its cold start device and by spraying petrol down the inlet but I would have thought the injectors will need servicing and possibly the pump. It is solid underneath and no signs of welding. in fact the original undersealing is present and peeling off to reveal perfectly clean metal. the car must have spent its life in garages. most scabby rust spots on the bodywork have been rubbed back and primed. the drivers door and front wings have seen better days but a new door skin and wings come with it. The clutch pedal is very stiff and the clutch seems to be stuck engaged. I have not investigated this further. The original bumpers. seats and wheels are included along with some other parts including a window regulator which is for the drivers window. which will need fitting. The seats fitted are Recaro and there is a Momo steering wheel which comes with the car too. The car is being sold as a project. spares or repair. I would say it needs the pump and injectors sent away to be cleaned and reconditioned a good service. brakes and clutch looking at and it will be ready for an MOT. the underside and sills of the car seem very solid and we can not see anywhere that needs welding. inspections and viewings welcome.
