As we all know the prices of MK 2`s have rocketed over the past few years and still seem to be on the increase.

This particular vehicle had been with its previous owner for many years as he had intended to lightly restore her back to her full glory days but he decided to concentrate on other projects so I decided to purchase her off him and give someone else the opportunity. as it was not being used.

The car is up and running. taxed and mot`d. but although generally solid throughout she would benefit greatly from some light bodywork work to bring her back to her former days. Body/paintwork could do with some tlc and if I`m honest you would probably look to attend to the body imperfections and then give her a fresh coat of paint.

Interior is all there and in very usable condition whilst leaving some scope for improvement.

From a visual perspective the underside looks good and solid and did not need any welding at all for the very recent mot.

Chromework is all solid if not a little pitted in places.

To summarise this is a very good. structurally sound. nice driving car. but to make really nice again factor in some bodywork and a fresh paint job.

Before deciding what this car is worth please spend a few moments to do a Google search to ascertain what the going rate is for this model.

I doubt very much you will find a nice like-for-like for under £12k.

If you search further afield. and at the top end of the market. you will regularly see prices for this model exceeding £18. 00+. !!!

Nevertheless to entice a hassle free sale I have set the reserve well below the current market/insurance value. so this is definitely a bargain to be had.

Obviously due to storage of my trade vehicles and the very nature of older vehicles. I would suggest a good service/overhaul of all fluids. brakes. rubbers. clutches. pipes. engines and electrics would be advisable and most likely needed in some cases.
