1967 S Code Mustang

 

 

 

This is one bad Pony!!  This car will gather crowds were ever it goes.

 

This is one great looking fastback!  The car received a total body restoration from Restoration Rods by rule in Eagle. Idaho.

 

The car was stripped to metal and the rear quarters. tail pan. front fenders and hood were replaced with new metal.   A base coat clear coat paint was applied using the color silver mink metallic. It is a stock ford color used from 1964-1966. The car was wet sanded and buffed to a beautiful finish. All new seals and felts were installed as well as new bright work on the car! All of the body restoration was completed in 2006 and since the completion the car has only logged 3800 miles.   The floor pans on the mustang were replaced by a previous owner and they are solid you can tell by the pictures that apperance was not a top priority.   Still solid and water tight. To strengthen the body to handle the torque from the mighty ford big block frame connectors have been welded in. Recipts for body work and assembly total over $13. 00!

 

The interior was completly redone to include door panels. seat cushions. carpet. headliner. ididit tilt steering. dash pad. dash bezels and a speedometer and tach rebuild!  The interior is just as beautiful as the outside of the car!

 

The pounding heart of this Ford is the massaged original 390 block with 428 edelbrock aluminum heads. topped off with an aluminum intake and a 750 cfm carburetor with electronic ignition.   The engine breaths through long tube headers and new duel exhaust topped off with original style exhaust tips. You will definetly know when this car is comming down the street! There is over $6000. 00 dollars in receipts for the engine rebuild and misc. from December 2012.

 

The original transmission was rebuilt previous to the current owner and is smooth shifting and stout.

 

And to handle all the ponies of the big block ford the original mighty ford traction lock nine inch has just been completely rebuilt $1300. 00!

 

The front suspention has been gone through to include a new flaming river quick ratio steering box. new 4 piston manual disc brakes. new bushings. tie rods and etc.

 

Some of the items that currently are inop are the rear back up lights. the original am radio. clock. courtesey lights on the doors. and the heater system has been rebuilt but needs a vacuum line.

 

The electrical system has all been updated with new harnesses and all the lights and turn signal work. The tail lights have been up graded to suquential turn signals. they are cool!

 

The car has a great stance rolling on original style pony wheels wrapped with BF goodrich radials 235/60/15's in the back and 215/65/15's in the front.

 

The original heads. intake. and waterpump will come with the car. The heads are date coded 6L8 which is Nov. 8th 1966.

 

You will find the the marti report on the last frame of the 100 pictures in the listing. it will show what the car came with in 1967

 

There is over $35. 00 dollars in restoration receipts. this does not incluede purchase price and alot of items we do not have receipts for! All receipts will go to the new owner.
