1950 CHEV SEDAN (Factory Rh Drive)
I am selling my 1950 Chev sedan that I found down in Newcastle NSW.  It is a perfectly preserved barn find that I have cleaned up & got running but unfortunately have decided to sell to fund a new project that I have started.  The Chev was last Rego'd in 1980 as you can see from the photo's.  It is a complete car running the orig. 6 cylinder motor & 6 volt charging system.  I have had the 6v Starter Motor completely Rebuilt which cost me $800. 00 but now works perfectly every time.  This is a list of everything I have done or replaced on Chev:
. Brand New Radiator & some hoses. Reconditioned Starter Motor. Reconditioned Distributor inc. New Points & Rotor button. New Spark Plugs & leads. New 6v Battery. Reconditioned Brakes Frt & Rear inc. New Flexible Hoses & Pipes. New Brake Shoes & Machined Drums Frt & Rear. Reconditioned Wheels cylinders & Master cylinder (all with Stainless Sleeves). Near new White Wall tyres. Reconditioned & Re-set Rear Leaf Springs (with new U Bolts & bushes). New Pedders Shocks Frt & Rear. Reconditioned Carby with all new gaskets. New Wiper Motor bushes fitted & Vacuum hoses replaced
Everything in this Chev works like it did back in 1950 inc. all interior lights (Even glove box light still works). Headlights. Tail-lights. choke. wipers they all work perfectly. Vehicle starts 1st time. runs. idles & never gets hot (thanks to new Radiator).   Interior is all original inc. Hoodlining which for its age is still in very good condition. Chev came with Orig. Factory Venetian which would be impossible to replace.  All the glass in Chev is in perfect condition (No Scratches). except there is 1 Stonechip in the Rh Windscreen which could be repaired.  There was some rust in the Floor Pans & spare wheel well which we plated correctly & etch primed otherwise it was Rust Free.  I gave chev a full service inc. fIushing engine block & coolant system & replacing Oils.  Engine sump has a few oil leaks which need attention along with Gearbox & Diff which need new gaskets & seals. There is some play in some of the Front end joints which may need repairing/replacing along with worn bushes in steering components. All in all Chev is in great condition for its age & a very straight car (Hardly any ripples or dents)  I have 2/hand Frt & Rear Bars which will be sold with vehicle. they have much better chrome & No Rust.
If you're looking for a cool cruiser that stands out & not like every other chev on the road this is it. and the best bit is it will be your car not someone else resto that you can't take credit for.  All the hard work is done. she is ready for Rego.  You can not re-produce this Awesome Patina which is even on both sides (Chev has never been repaired or painted from factory)  I have heaps more detailed photo's if you forward me your email Address I can send.
