You are looking at a rare “all original” 1970 Fastback Mustang Mach1.   The 1970 Mach 1 is truly a Masterpiece and appreciated by many car enthusiast worldwide the distinctive body lines and beautiful white interior make this very desirable. This mustang originally belonged to a lady based in Baltimore. Maryland which bought the mustang brand new in 1970 and kept it garaged for 40+ years.   She only put 73K miles on the car in 44 years.  I bought the Mustang 5 years ago from her and put another 6K miles.  When she purchased the vehicle. she also bought some unique creature comfort options such as Air Conditioning. power brakes and power steering. all of which make this raw muscle car a pleasure to drive. especially in the summer heat – the air conditioner gets very cold.    The original owner. kept all the original components on the car and she kept up with the vehicle and all maintenance. as have I.   I have a set of the original service manuals with this car and all sorts of extra parts which she gave me.   Please note. this is a full matching numbers car. all original panels. hood. and all factory components down to the wheel rims.

The engine is a 351 Cleveland.  When I purchased it. it had stock 2 V heads. I altered the heads to 4V for much better breathing. added a high rise manifold and a Holly 750 to provide fuel for the larger intake heads.  I had the engine removed to restore the engine compartment. replaced engine mounts and any worn cabling and rubber tubing. and then had the engine and compartment re-painted. For exhaust. I added headers. and flow master mufflers which gives the car the sound it deserves.     The modifications have taken the original engine from the standard 290 horse power to over 400+ horses. and believe me this mustang has taken on a new character -- it sounds equally determined with the added horsepower.    I kept all the original exhaust manifolds. heads and carburetor. stock filter canister. in case a serious collector would want to put the engine back to original specs.   My modifications have taken the pleasure driving meter to another level. this car will chirp the rubber on the tires on every gear during heavy acceleration – this is what you want -- if you ever purchase a mustang with a stock 351 Cleveland engine you will be sorely disappointed with the power.   I also have a set of original Ford Mustang repair manuals which came with the vehicle.

Now let's discuss the overall condition of this vehicle. as you can see from the pictures. it is nearly perfect. short of a total restoration which the vehicle did not require. The body is excellent. it is a rust free car with excellent floorplans and frame rails.   The body is very straight.  The paint has a beautiful finish as you can see in the pictures. this vehicle was re-painted in the 90's by a professional paint shop.     Fully restored cars. in my humble opinion. take away originality and there is a high probability of new fenders. quarter panels. hoods and other components. which are not original.   This car is 100% original.   I left enough patina in the interior and exterior so it actually looks like a muscle car from the era and not some toy you pull out of the box.    The mirrors were changed in the 90's to silver. but I have the original mirrors in a box with a number of other extra ford components which were extra's but never installed.   One imperfection worth mentioning is a tear on the original headliner.  I considered replacing the headliner. but with 98% of the original headliner surface still good. I would like to have the next owner consider fixing the tear or replace it.    Again. I am very concerned about maintaining all the originality of the vehicle.

This is a one-time deal. you will not see many vehicles posted in this condition and originality.  I tend to see Mustangs on e-bay auctions by resellers who restore previously abused mustangs. and reconstruct them with third party stamped fenders and components and fresh paint for quick sale at a high dollar.   This vehicle is as close to factory as you can get and it has a history of only one longtime owner.     Please send me inquiries but do not make any unreasonable offers on the vehicle.  I have attached the Marti Report.

Please ask questions. and you can call me or text me directly on 443 629 4823. I have taken the time to publish many pictures of exterior. interior and under carriage and you can see them if you copy and paste the Photobucket link below.     I am looking for someone to purchase this car to enjoy it like I have. and to continue to respect it and improve on it like I did.  Serious inquiries only please.
