Description:  Plymouth for 1960 was the last tall fin car. and of all the “Fin Cars” the Fury Convertible was the most flashy and flamboyant.

Similar to a Chrysler 300 Letter Car. this car has Chrysler 300 (power driver side) bucket seats a big block 413 cubic inch ‘Poly' high performance V8 (300+ HP) and rebuilt. heavy duty three speed Torqueflight automatic transmission.   To say it ‘gets up and goes' is an understatement.   Yet his car was built to run on regular gas. and has been modified to run on unleaded fuel as well.

The newly applied Coral Rose paint is offset by the cream color front fender accent and cream top make this one of the most beautiful color combinations of the Big Fin Era.   The interior was designed to highlight the luxury of the big convertible car. using the highest quality materials. including matching padded dash.

The interior. top. top boot and trunk are all newly restored.  There is a new back window. but it is zipped down in the boot during the picture session.  Top is great. works and fits great.

The mechanical condition of the car is "get in and drive it anywhere".

The Chrysler Corporation technology was “cutting edge” in 1960 as exemplified by the three-speed Torqueflite automatic and front torsion-bar suspension.   This car has been modified with a floor shift (without the push button shift as was standard) and alternator.

The car is equipped with Power Steering. Power Disk Brakes and “Hi-Fi” optional Radio. you cruise down the road in your own version of the Jetson's space ship!  The hydraulic top goes up and down with the twist of a knob.

The unique “Aero Steering Wheel” is a legend of styling. and has been newly re-cast in new Lucite. and is an eye-catching feature.   The dual exhausts give the car the sound of the 1960's.

This car's unique charisma is wrapped in shiny polished stainless trim at all four corners. including optional and rare stainless fender skirts.   Original era BF Goodrich wide white wall tires are accented with “turbine” stainless steel hubcaps (from 1959 Imperial. )

1960 Fury Convertibles have fetched over $200. 00 at auctions. and they are a prime investment.

This car is a convertible that was built from a '60 Plymouth Fury Hardtop.   All convertible parts are stock and operate as original. The convertible body was mostly replaced with parts from a rust free Southern California Fury hardtop.    The car is registered as a convertible.

This automobile is a used vehicle. over 50 years old. and has wear and tear to most of it's components. No warranties or representations are made for you to rely upon without your own viewing or inspection.

Coral was not the original color. The clock and the heater do not work. The motor and transmission are both rebuilt but come from a later vintage Chrysler vehicle.   The front brakes are power assisted disks. they work much better than stock. and are not original.   The paint quality is very good. but not showroom.   There is no spare tire or jack.

I invite questions and am very candid about the restoration.   It is beautiful. attracts lots of attention and is priced according to its value.

A $2. 00 deposit is required within 24 hours of eBay sale.  Seller reserves the right to cancel the auction for a non-performing buyer.

The car is sold. as is. where is. in Santa Monica. California.   Buyer to arrange pick up or shipping as desired as soon as possible.  Storage fee will be charged if car not picked up within 10 days.   Car is also for sale locally. and auction may be terminated early.
