 OWN A REAL COLLECTORS CAR

-- a GERMAN BITTER -- According to Wikipedia: Body design seems to have been heavily influenced by Ferrari`s 400i.

The first SC model to appear was the coupé (1979). followed by the convertible at the 1981 Frankfurt Auto Show and the sedan in 1984. Production lasted until 1989 with 461 coupés. 22 convertibles and only 5 sedans built.

In 1984 it was announced at the New York Auto Show that Bitter would enter into a limited marketing agreement with General Motors in North America to market the sedan in the United States through participating Buick dealerships. A major reason for the venture was GM hoped to take back market share that was being lost to BMW

ALAS-- few Bitter cars were actually sold in the U. S. [3] So this is one of 461 coupes. /p>

I am listing this for my fiance who is a wounded warrior suffering fromPTSD -- when he is feeling better tomorrow I will be delighted to get you any other details you need .

There are a few minor dings on the car. really minor but I will take pix of those tomorrow.

It is in running order but needs a battery -- it has not been driven for awhile (2 yrs approx) but I did not want to mess with battery because hoses may need to be replaced and I did not want to cause issues.

The pictures are some from the past -- I will put up more exact pix once I clean the dust and wash it later this afternoon.

The interior is that gorgeous camel colored leather-- it looks very good to me but I will take pix of the interior tomorrow and post that too.

According to Haggerty who values classic cars I would estimate this car at a Condition  two 2 cars could win a local or regional show. They can be former #1 cars that have been driven or have aged. Seasoned observers will have to look closely for flaws. but will be able to find some not seen by the general public. The paint. chrome. glass and interior will all appear as excellent. No excessive smoke will be seen on startup. no unusual noises will emanate from the engine compartment. The vehicle will drive as a new car of its era would. The one word description for #2 cars is "excellent. "

But you will have to spruce it up a bit to get it to that local or regional show level -- get a battery replace some hoses fix a few dings. nbsp;

More info from the web on the SC Bitter:“The SC has been designed by Erich Bitter to offer a performance choice for buyers in a luxury class”.

It was. too. Ex racing-driver Mr Bitter can claim full responsibility for the exterior styling. alth

ough it seems likely that he was reading a book about the Ferrari 365GT4 2+2. 400i and 412 at the time. Still. Pininfarina plagiarism aside. it was a plenty handsome looking beast. well proportioned and well detailed. without looking too fussy. And it had pop-up headlamps which. as we know. are for winners.

“Line and form. decided by function and aesthetics. have been proved in the wind tunnel and in the eyes of the connoisseur.

The Bitter SC is easily as functional as it is attractive. ”

I'm sure Ferrari would agree. The functionality aspect of the above was doubtless in reference to the SC's ability to accommodate four German-size adults. a feat made possible due to the cars long wheelbase and relatively high roofline. There was decent luggage space. too.

You will have to arrange pickup from zipcode 94928 in the next two weeks if you win the auction. We are MOVING

We reserve the right to take local bids and to also list the car on the BITTER CAR CLUB SITES.

YES -- we will take BEST OFFER considerations.
